Shah Rukh Khan fans who gathered outside Mannat to catch a glimpse of the superstar on his 60th birthday were left a little disappointed this year. The actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to apologise, revealing that he couldn’t step out to greet them due to safety concerns raised by authorities because of the massive crowd outside his Bandra home.
Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me. My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues.
In his heartfelt note, SRK wrote, “Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me. My deepest apologies to all of you… it is for everyone’s safety due to crowd control issues.” He added, “I will miss seeing you more than you will. Was looking forward to sharing love. Love u all.”
Every year, Shah Rukh greets his fans from Mannat’s balcony, waving and blowing kisses to thank them for their love. Despite police blocking nearby roads, videos showed fans finding creative ways to reach closer to Mannat — some even taking the seaside route across the rocky Bandstand stretch. Many had travelled from different states and countries just to celebrate the actor’s milestone birthday.
Meanwhile, on his 60th birthday, the makers of his upcoming action film King released its first look, featuring SRK in high-octane action scenes that left fans thrilled online.

Bandra, the recent Malayalam action-packed drama starring Dileep in the lead role, is gearing up to make its digital debut on the OTT platform. Amid this, recent reports claimed that the movie will be set for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.
The Malayalam flick hit theaters on November 10, 2023. Directed by Arun Gopy, and starring Dileep, the film features Tamannaah Bhatia as the lead actress. Also, Dino Morea, Easwari Rao, Neil Nitin, and Mamta Mohandas are playing other significant roles. Bandra marks the second collaboration of Arun and Dileep as Ramaleela was the duo’s first project. Through this movie, Tamannah also made her debut in the Malayalam film industry. Produced by Vinayaka Ajith under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films, the movie was penned by Uday Krishna and cinematography was handled by Shaji Kumar.
The movie’s plot revolves around Sakshi, a director who delves into the tragedy of the suicide of Bollywood actress Tara Janaki. During the investigation, she reveals Tara’s relationship with Alan Alexander portrayed by Dileep. Despite the film’s outstanding production quality and Dileep’s captivating acting, Bandra has failed to meet expectations. It received a rating of 6.0/10 on IMdb and has a runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Bandra OTT release scheduled for mid-2024
As mentioned earlier, the filmmakers are gearing up for Bandra’s OTT release and the audience will have a chance to catch the film on Disney Plus Hotstar. The film is expected to be released in mid-2024. However, a streaming date has yet to be revealed. Earlier reports indicate that makers planned its digital streaming in the concluding week of December.
Additionally, Bandra earned a collection of $138 thousand at the box office on its opening day. On the second day, the flick encountered a disappointing collection at the box office with $107 thousand. Bringing its overall net collection in India for the first week to $500 thousand.
It remains to be seen when the makers will officially confirm Bandra’s OTT release date.
