    Allu Arjun and director Lokesh Kanagaraj are all set to collaborate for the first time on the tentatively titled AA23 (or LK07). While the announcement promo of the project created a massive uproar, it appears that the filmmaker has yet to provide a complete script to the Icon Star.

    Is Lokesh Kanagaraj yet to narrate the full script of AA23 to Allu Arjun?

    According to online buzz shared by Movies Singapore, Lokesh Kanagaraj narrated an outline of the film to the Pushpa actor, which reportedly impressed him. However, the full screenplay is yet to be completed and will be presented to the actor in a final narration once it is ready.

    Reportedly, Lokesh is currently working on the bound script along with his co-writers Chandru Anbazhagan and Rathna Kumar, along with other key assistant directors. The filmmaker is presently in Kerala and is expected to continue working on the script until March 3, 2026.

    For those unaware, Chandru Anbazhagan previously collaborated with Lokesh on Maanagaram and Coolie, while Rathna Kumar was part of Leo and Master.

    AA23 is an upcoming action film starring Allu Arjun in the lead role. In the teaser, Arjun is seen wearing the iconic silver kada that is a recurring element in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s films, hinting at a stylish, Western-inspired entertainer.

    The film’s music and background score will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his first collaboration with Allu Arjun. The theme track, 23 Theme, from the teaser recently went viral on the internet.

    Allu Arjun is currently working on a film tentatively titled AA22xA6. The upcoming “parallel universe” project is directed by Atlee and stars Deepika Padukone as the co-lead.     Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj is set to appear in the lead role in his debut acting venture, DC. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, best known for Captain Miller, the film is expected to be a contemporary adaptation of Devadas, set in the gangster world, with Wamiqa Gabbi as the co-lead.

    Producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers has reacted to the recent controversy regarding actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, who had raised questions about lead actors playing smugglers in films. He clarified Pawan’s remarks and said that his comments were taken out of context. 

    Ravi Shankar said, “Pawan Kalyan Garu was speaking in a different context. We assume that people thought he was referring to this movie. His stature is on another level, and he wouldn’t say anything that negatively affects the film industry. He said something in the flow, but it has no connection with Pushpa 2.”

    The producer’s reaction came following Pawan Kalyan’s comments earlier this month. During a recent press interaction over his collaboration with the Forest Minister of Karnataka, he addressed changes in the portrayal of heroes on celluloid and shared how they are now reflected, similar to smugglers who cut away forests instead of preserving them. 

    According to the Hindustan Times, Pawan Kalyan said, “Around 40 years ago, a hero was someone who safeguards the forest. And now, the hero is someone who cuts away at the forest and is a smuggler.” The actor-politician added that he struggles to understand current cinema, which he is also a part of, because he feels, “Are we sending the right message?”

    His remarks went viral on social media, with some netizens thinking it was a dig at Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s Pushpa franchise. 

    Coming back to one of the much-awaited films of this year, Pushpa 2: The Rule, it is slated for its release on December 6. At the same event, the producer Ravi Shankar addressed a question regarding the Allu Arjun starrer. 

    For those unaware, the Sukumar directorial faced scrutiny when rumors of discord between Allu Arjun and the film’s director, Sukumar, surfaced. Additionally, reports were suggesting that the release might be postponed due to these issues.

    However, Ravi Shankar refuted these claims and assured fans that the movie has turned out extraordinary and the remaining work will be completed by September.

    He said, “Pushpa 2 has come out extraordinarily…by September we’ll finish up the second half work of the film. By November, we’ll send it around to theaters and confirm to hit screens on December 6.” (loose translation) The upcoming sequel will also star Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, who will reprise their respective roles.

    Talking in the interview, the Animal actress opened up about how it felt reuniting with Allu Arjun, Sukumar and the rest of the team for the sequel. She mentioned that working for such a long time, the cast and crew had become really close, and so it just felt like home when they reunited for the sequel. The actress said:

    “It starts feeling like home. Like, when you finished one film, and towards the end of the film you get really connected with the cast and crew, right, so when you have the part 2 coming, again you’re like ‘Hey, what’s up!?’ and you just, sort of like – it’s party time”

    What we know about Pushpa 2 so far

    Pushpa 2 is set to be the fourth on-screen collaboration between Sukumar and Allu Arjun after the Arya franchise and the 2021 film. The film also has Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Sunil and more in crucial roles apart from the Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo actor and Rashmika Mandanna.

    Further, the film has been bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers while National Award winner Devi Sri Prasad composes the music for the film. The film is slated to hit the silver screens on Independence Day, 2024.

    Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s brother and co-screenwriter Pranay Reddy Vanga was recently caught in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla talking about the recent success of Animal and their future projects.

    In the interview, Pranay Reddy was asked about his future project with Allu Arjun which was earlier announced with T-Series bankrolling the project. Vanga revealed “It was just an announcement. Like Bhushan ji wanted us to associate, we haven’t discussed a story but it is just a placeholder.”

    He added, “Allu Arjun has a couple of movies to do and so do we. After that, we’ll work together. We just have an understanding now, but haven’t thought of anything else.”

    He further added “The only advantage about Animal Park is that all the characters are established, so it won’t take much time to take it forward, but for Allu Arjun’s project we have to think of something which suits his image and we have to develop it.     Pranay Reddy also talked about his brother’s next film with Prabhas in the lead role. The film titled Spirit is also bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar under the banner of T-Series and according to his words, the film will feature Prabhas as a cop for the very first time and most probably much like Vanga’s previous characters, he will also be an angry young man. The film is expected to go on floors in six months.

    Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been in the headlines for some time now, especially after the release of his latest film Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.     On the work front

    The S/O Sathyamurthy actor has a jam-packed schedule ahead of him, including the much awaited Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film, helmed by Sukumar, features an ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, and many more apart from Allu Arjun. The film is set to hit the silver screen on Independence Day next year, and will repeatedly release in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. 

    Additionally, the actor is also set to collaborate with Trivikram Srinivas, marking their fourth film together after Julaayi, S/O Sathyamurthy, and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. 

    Allu Arjun also recently met with Jawan helmer Atlee in Mumbai, passing the possibility of a probable collaboration between the two some time in the future.

Rumours were rife that the Love Story actress is on board for Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule. It is said that she will be seen in a key role in the film and fresh addition to the star-studded cast. However, an official confirmation from the makers about Sai Pallavi’s part in Pushpa 2 is awaited. 

    Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 is one of the most awaited and anticipated movies in the South. The film features the actor reprising his iconic role as Pushpa Raj along with Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil as Srivalli and Bhanwar Shekwat respectively. A few days ago, the Pushpa 2 team reportedly met with an accident while returning to Andhra Pradesh from Telangana after completing the shoot of the day. Reportedly, the bus carrying the artist of the film hit the PTC bus that was stationary. It is reported that two of the artists sustained injuries.

    Sai Pallavi will be next seen sharing the screen with Sivakarthikeyan. The film is yet-to-be-titled and is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan’s production Raj Kamal Films.
