A man attempted to avoid arrest by hiding inside an air-conditioning system, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.Deputies said they went to a home in Bunnell to serve a felony warrant on James Myers.Myers was facing multiple charges, including grand theft, excessive speeding and resisting law enforcement without violence.While searching the home, deputies said they found a small crawl space beneath an air handler in one of the bedrooms, with a white gate attached.After removing the gate, deputies said they found Myers curled up inside the small space. He was ordered to exit at gunpoint and was eventually placed in handcuffs.Before finding Myers, deputies said they encountered his girlfriend, Joann Rosario, hiding in a closet. She denied knowing where Myers was and told deputies he was at another home.Deputies also arrested Rosario on a charge of obstruction without violence, the sheriff’s office said.
