Today, Knack Inc., an accessories brand focusing on patent-pending, hybrid everyday/travel backpacks for urban professionals, announced the launch of a seasonal color drop in its unique new Series 2 collection. Knack developed the new colors, Steel Blue and Olive Green, in conjunction with hundreds of Knack consumers through a series of interviews and surveys conducted earlier this year. Introduced less than 12 months ago, Knack’s popular Series 2 is a collection of lightweight, everyday laptop backpacks with a patent-pending, hidden, expandable suitcase compartment for travel.
“With the drop of these new seasonal colors, we’ve moved away from the Series 2 ‘Model T’ phase,” Knack Inc.’s Founder and CEO, Chad Mellen, explained, “so you can finally get a unique Series 2 backpack in colors other than black.” He added, “The entire Knack team was excited about working with Knack owners to identify and develop these new colors. While we’ve always listened to Knack users, this development effort took our community-building to the next level.”
To end up with these two new fashion colors, starting at the beginning of 2021, the Knack team:
- Narrowed down a list of dozens of colors initially suggested by Knack owners
- Conducted interviews and surveys with over 300 Knack consumers
- Sampled and developed 10+ colors
- Confirmed the final two colors through a broad survey of current and potential Knack owners
