Gadar 2 is inching closer to the release slowly. The Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer movie is one of the most talked about movies right now. Recently, the video of Bipasha Basu talking about how Ameesha is not cut out for the roles like Jism went viral. It flared up and brought back old stories. What had Ameesha Patel said about Jism in the first place and Bipasha’s reaction too. And now, years later, Ameesha Patel has maintained her stance on Jism kind films and roles.
Ameesha Patel maintains her stand on Bipasha Basu led Jism
The actress while talking to an entertainment news portal shares that she still continues to maintain her stand. She adds that she does not think that Basic Instinct is a bad film. Ameesha calls Sharon Stone a goddess. She also praised Jism calling it fantastic and praising the performances too. “All I am saying is why Bipasha. I am not comfortable being a Sharon Stone,” she adds. The actress further states that it takes guts to be so bold physically. Ameesha Patel shares that she can be hot and sexy but is she comfortable with the boldness and skin show on screen? She clearly said no.
Ameesha Patel elaborates on her answer
The actress gave an example of her song Lazy Lamhe in Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic. She said that she was the first heroine to have the guts to tell Aditya Chopra that she won’t wear a bikini in a Yash Raj Film. She told the leading producer that she is not comfortable and was ready to walk out of the film as well. “It was not said in bad taste towards Bipasha because I think she was amazing,” Ameesha adds.
Bipasha Ameesha row over Jism
Years ago, Ameesha Patel had claimed that she won’t be comfortable doing films like Jism since it will upset her grandmother. Bipasha Basu was asked about the same by Karan Johar on Koffee with Karan. Bipasha had said that Ameesha would have been able to do the movie since she lacked her physical characteristics. Bipasha said that Ameesha is too petite for the role. “You need to be a woman, like a total package, not just bodily but you have to have a very strong personality. I think she is too petite, too small to do that. Her whole frame is wrong,” Bipasha had said.
Gadar 2 is releasing on 11th August 2023.
