Brian Stelter Returns to CNN as Chief Media Analyst, Revives ‘Reliable Sources’ Newsletter

[ad_1]

Brian Stelter, the former host of CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” announced his return to the network as chief media analyst, including resuming his role as the lead writer for the “Reliable Sources” newsletter. Stelter, who departed from CNN in August 2022 after the cancellation of his show under former network head Chris Licht, has spent the past two years writing and freelancing.

Stelter’s return follows the recent departure of Oliver Darcy, who had taken over the newsletter and is now starting his own independent venture. Stelter emphasized that while the newsletter will relaunch on September 9, his role will involve new challenges and contributions beyond the familiar format. He reflected on his time away from CNN, noting how it allowed him to gain new insights into the media industry from a different perspective.
