Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik to announce divorce after resolving legal issues: Pakistan media

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricket team’s former captain Shoaib Malik are likely to make an official divorce announcement after resolving legal complications.

“The couple is not addressing the rumours due to contracts signed with different shows and legal complications,” reported Pakistan-based Geo News citing sources. It further added that Shoaib and Sania have “several contracts to complete.”

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik got married on April 12, 2010, in a traditional Hyderabadi Muslim ceremony at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad. They also welcomed a son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, in 2018. They also celebrated their son’s birthday together in October.

However, recently, there have been claims that the couple’s marriage is in disarray and that the couple is planning to split.

According to the Geo News report, Sania and Shoaib have decided to co-parent their son Izhaan Mirza Malik.

The speculations about their separation started doing rounds over the internet after Mirza shared an Instagram post earlier this week, which read “Where do broken hearts go? To find Allah.”

Mirza, in another post, had shared a photo with their son Izhaan and said, “The moments that get me through the hardest days.”

However, Shoaib’s Instagram bio still reads “Athlete | Husband to a superwoman Sania Mirza.”
