POWNAL, Vt. (NEWS10) — Vermont State Police are investigating a suspicious death in Pownal. Police said they were called around 3 p.m. Tuesday to Chickadee Drive for a reported altercation.
They found a man deceased when they arrived. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. His identity is not being released until relatives have been notified.
No one has been arrested. Police do not believe there is any threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (802) 442-5421. Anonymous tips can also be left online.
