Two people are in custody in Wake County stabbings that deputies say are not connected

WENDELL, N.C. (WTVD) — Two people are in custody in connection with two Wake County stabbings that the sheriff’s office said were not related.

The first stabbing happened around 10 a.m. Wednesday in the 6300 block of Old Mill Farm Drive near Wendell.

Deputies found a man with a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Earnhart Joyner III, 38, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Then, around 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 4200 block of Chandler Ridge Circle, near Raleigh, and found a man suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

On Wednesday evening, the sheriff’s office said 23-year-old Sy-Fee Nagi Murray Wilson had been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder.

“While two stabbings occurred today in Wake County, our investigation has determined they are not connected,” Sheriff Willie Rowe said. “Our deputies responded quickly and worked diligently to identify and locate the individuals responsible, and there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public. We want to reassure the residents of Wake County that we remain committed to keeping our neighborhoods safe and holding those responsible accountable.”

Both cases remain under investigation.
