After a brief two-year break, Zebulon will be bringing back its annual Christmas parade this year.
The town announced that the parade will be held Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. in downtown.
In 2023, Zebulon opted to replace its annual parade with a stationary event titled “Deck the Hall-Z.” The decision was based on a bill at the legislature that would change age requirements, safety inspections and license verifications for floats.
The move came in the wake of the tragic death of Hailey Brooks in 2022, when she was struck by a truck during the Raleigh Christmas Parade in 2022.
Known as the Shine Like Hailey Parade Safety Act, the bill did not pass but sparked new protocols for the Raleigh Christmas Parade.
