When each New York Fashion Week concludes, one of the first things I do is try to pinpoint potential It items based on what the fashion crowd and celebrities wore to the shows. I have to admit that it wasn’t that difficult to spot the new It bag this season, as the streets of New York and our Instagram feeds have been flooded with it since NYFW. The bag I’m referring to is the Loewe Squeeze Bag.
The slouchy, ruched hobo shoulder bag is constructed of buttery soft nappa lambskin and is adorned with a metal chain and a “squishy” leather handle, which is where it gets its name. The bag comes in two sizes (small and medium) and an array of colors to choose from, but I regret to inform you that the bag is sold out everywhere. This is hardly surprising, given the instant popularity of the bag and the high-profile fans of it, but be sure to keep an eye out for restocks.
