  • We’re In Our ‘STUPID’ Era With AB6IX

    [ad_1]

We really are in our ‘STUPID’ era with AB6IX‘s UPSIDE DOWN comeback—stupidly obsessed! This time, the album has a different feel from the usual releases by the group, showing the wide musical and emotional range that they have to offer. From focus track to B-sides, we’re in love with every single song on the track list.

    Relating To ‘STUPID’ Yet?

‘STUPID’ may have a fun rock melody that’s so easy to enjoy and get into, but it’s more than just your next lively song. The lyrics are loud with their relatable message, and we’re so here for it. The song portrays the difference in a person’s mindset after leaving their carefree childhood days behind and focuses on the time after entering the real world. And realizing just how much one might not fit into people’s pre-established expectations.

Bruised by the world but hiding the pain inside and preferring the solitude, these behaviors are perceived by others as unusual. It gets to the extent of them asking, “What’s wrong with you?” Sometimes, even we don’t have the answer because feelings are so complicated and are not always white and black. At times, all we can do is explain how we feel, without giving a reason behind it. And that’s ok. We shouldn’t feel “stupid” for being different and having our own coping methods. In fact, we should be embracing who we are, instead of aiming to fit into someone else’s belief of how a person should act or how they should live their lives. Bringing our little UPSIDE DOWN world isn’t so bad, right?

After our first listen, ‘STUPID’ gave us a different vibe from your typical title track. So, we were even more curious what live performances would look like. And after watching a few (maybe all we could find so far), we have to say, it’s beyond expectations. So, of course, we’re so thankful for the performance video the boys dropped. And wearing suits? AB6IX spoiling us at its finest😉 We’ll be in our emotions and enjoying the eye candy at the same time!

    Obsessed With The B-Sides

UPSIDE DOWN is definitely changing our world. Everything about it is somewhat of a new experience, and we think AB6IX did a great job with this endeavor. From the explosive and confident ‘Square Up’ that kicks off the album to the fun ‘Friday Trouble.’ Moving on to the absolutely beautiful and hopeful ‘A Million Dreams’ and yet another wonderful and heart-warming piece, ‘Plan for You,’ which wraps up this EP. Well, unless we’re looking at the CD release, which finishes off with ‘Beautiful,’ the song ABNEW received in celebration of the boys’ six-year anniversary. Feeling special already? Because we sure do!

How do you feel about AB6IX’s new music? Did ‘STUPID’ enter your list of fave titles from the group yet? Share your thoughts on this release on our socials at @thehoneypop on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
