  • Tory Burch Hosts a Book Party for Kristina O’Neill and Laura Brown

    [ad_1]

Cindy Crawford, Laura Dern, Monica Lewinsky and Uzo Aduba gathered on Rodeo Drive to toast Kristina O’Neill and Laura Brown’s empowering release

Her last store party in Beverly Hills turned into the dance party of the year. And on Thursday, Oct. 23, designer Tory Burch once again brought out an impressive group of friends — this time to celebrate Kristina O’Neill and Laura Brown’s new book, All the Cool Girls Get Fired: How to Let Go of Being Let Go and Come Back on Top.

The front of the Rodeo Drive flagship hosted something of a fashion show with the arrival of guests — who included Cindy Crawford, Laura Dern, Rebecca Gayheart and Max Greenfield.

After mingling over Champagne, spicy margaritas, sliders and fries (served in paper cones printed with quotes from the book), partygoers assembled around the stairs — where Kiernan Shipka, Janicza Bravo, Bella Heathcote, Lake Bell, Monica Lewinsky, Jurnee Smollett, Santigold, Uzo Aduba and Zoey Deutch stood in a line.

First, Burch kicked things off. “I’m sure everyone in this room either has been fired, was almost fired or should have been fired,” she said. “It isn’t the end — it’s just the beginning of something smarter, cooler and much much bigger.”

Then author Brown took the mic. Now the founder of LB Media and the chair of (RED)’s Creative Council, she’d once been fired from her editor-in-chief role at InStyle magazine. Friend O’Neill, now the editor-in-chief of Sotheby’s Magazine, previously lost her EIC job at WSJ Magazine

“We know that in the creative businesses, oftentimes you’re judged on how you perform — there’s work, there’s no work,” Brown said. “The thing to really believe in all the time is yourself.”

Then, the women lined up recited passes from the book.

Shipka kicked things off. “So, you got fired — laid off, let go, reduced, restructured, canned, shit-canned,” she read. “Or if you want to spin it (and we don’t suggest you do), you ‘left.’ Well, welcome to the party, baby!”

“Hello, I’m Janicza,” said Bravo, donning Tory Burch’s deconstructed satin skirt and cuffed cotton shirt with the peep-toe Mary Jane ballet and pierced calf hair handbag. “I’ve been fired, and I’m so grateful for it!”

“I’m Lake … and I’ve also been fired,” echoed Bell, before launching into her passage. “So why should getting fired define you? Why should you let it? … Do not attach your value to where you work. Your value lies within you. Read this in a Brené Brown voice.

Lewinsky got the biggest applause when she prefaced her reading with, “Hi, I’m Monica. I don’t want to show anybody up, but I was fired from the White House.”

Zoey Deutch, Jurnee Smollett and Monica Lewinsky

Lewinsky, wearing a Tory Burch silk bow blouse and wrap skirt with a pierced suede bag, then read: “Being fired is a universal experience and one of the greatest equalizers, because everyone feels the same: like shit.”

“Hi — I’m Zoey, and I’ve also been fired,” began Deutsch, who wore a Tory Burch half-zip wool sweatshirt and Japanese jersey sweatpants with the Romy shoulder bag and pierced heeled ankle boot. She then read a quote from Carol Burnett: “My advice for women who’ve been fired: It’s not over. There are other mountains to climb and other things to do to win.”

“It’s amazing that so many people have been fired!” exclaimed Santigold before reading a quote from Oprah that she said was relevant to her firing experience.

    Uzo Aduba

Adubo finished things off. “Life is short,” she read. “Whether you leave an unfulfilling job or are dumped right out of it, remember you have regained the most important thing: your independence. Now take some time to sit on that beautiful beach you’d barely noticed, and lean out.”

Guests left with a copy of the book, released Oct. 14 from Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books.

  • Welcome to the Toryssance: The It Shoes Every Fashion Person is Clamoring For

Welcome to the Toryssance: The It Shoes Every Fashion Person is Clamoring For

    [ad_1]

In its report on Q3 2023, Lyst not only named Tory Burch as a rising brand to watch with a 15% spike in searches for the quarter, but also narrowed in on the one item largely responsible for all the newfound hype: its pierced mules, which made the top-10 list of the hottest products, alongside heavy-hitters like Miu Miu and Loewe. For those uninitiated in the language of “new Tory”, the mules are part of a series of shoes that all have the same notorious hardware which gives off the illusion that the shoe is pierced with a segment ring near the toe.

The first of these pierced shoes came in the form of slingback flats and flat mules and they debuted on the spring/summer 2023 runway, the collection that’s widely regarded as marking the beginning of Burch’s new aesthetic. Since then, a pair of slingback pumps have joined the ranks and the latest update is anticipated in the spring 2024 lineup to be launching in the coming months. Already, fashion insiders are clamoring to get their hands on a pair—at least two Who What Wear editors already have—and making what’s left of the first pairs nearly sell out.

With the forthcoming 2024 iterations, it seems like the perfect time to highlight the It style because it’s clearly only growing in interest and attention. Ahead, we’ve charted the course of the Tory Burch pierced shoes from their runway debuts to the current-season market. Discover fashion’s most-wanted footwear of the moment, and then shop the pairs that are magically still available (for now, that is).

I Just Came From Australia—This Is What All the Cool Girls Were Wearing

    [ad_1]

Earlier this November, I felt downright giddy when I realized my Australia trip was right around the corner. A sunny reprieve in the middle of winter (okay, I live in California, but still)? Yes, please!

I was so blinded by my own sunny outlook that I chose to ignore my Australian relatives’ warnings. November, they warned me, was more akin to spring, and rain was far likelier than beach days. “Totally,” I agreed as I spread bikinis out on my bed.

Here’s the cold, hard truth: Melbourne is chilly. Weather-wise, it’s got the moody marine layer of San Francisco with a healthy dash of Seattle fog. It’s a gorgeous city but a gray city nonetheless! Your girl was freezing, her dreams of returning stateside a sun-kissed goddess dashed. Ever the optimist and buoyed by a daily diet of piping-hot meat pies, I chose to look on the bright side. I was 11 hours ahead of home, putting me in the unique position of living in the future, baby! With newfound zeal, I hit the streets, credit card at ready and a keen eagle eye trained on what the cool Melbourne girls were wearing.

  • The $15 Trend That In-the-Know Fashion People Are Wearing With *Everything*

The $15 Trend That In-the-Know Fashion People Are Wearing With *Everything*

    [ad_1]

If you’re simultaneously obsessed with the latest micro-trends and too intimidated to test them out, you’ve come to the right place. This is Ways to Wear, a monthly series where editor Eliza Huber offers a dose of outfit inspiration focused on current trends that feel intriguing yet overwhelming at the same time. Consider it your guide to actually wearing the coolest items of the moment, no matter how puzzling they might appear at first.

Even the chicest outfits can fall flat sometimes if they’re missing a certain level of oomf. Everything about them can be perfect, from the fit to the color combinations and so on, but without that finishing touch that ties it all together, the sartorial spark will never light. And right now, the easiest and most cost-effective way to fire up your outfits is with hosiery. Yes, I said hosiery, and no, I don’t mean pantyhose.

From red and burgundy tights to knee-high sheer socks, the world of hosiery is one full of possibilities. And of all the leg décor that’s trending among fashion people this year, the style making the most significant impact by far is fishnets. Once considered tacky and more than a touch costumey, in recent seasons, the latticed tights have received a dressed-up makeover, with brands such as Gucci, Tory Burch, and Victoria Beckham pairing them with elegant dresses and separates, adding a touch of intrigue to every combination. They balance out any outfit, ensuring that no ensemble ever risks being called boring.

  • I Didn't Expect to Love Every Perfume From This Designer Brand, But Here We Are

I Didn't Expect to Love Every Perfume From This Designer Brand, But Here We Are

    [ad_1]

I have a bit of a picky nose when it comes to fragrances. In my early days as a beauty editor, I spent a lot of time sampling every perfume I could get my hands on to figure out my fragrance MO. The conclusion I came to was, yes, I’m very selective. While some designer scents were nice and I wouldn’t mind catching a whiff of them while out, I often found that I wouldn’t actually wear a lot of them myself. That all changed once I caught a sniff of a few key Tory Burch perfumes.

I was first drawn in by the scents Cosmic Wood and Divine Moon, two perfumes that are part of Burch’s Essence of Dreams collection. If you weren’t already convinced by the name of the collection, yes, they are actually so dreamy. I definitely didn’t expect to love every single scent from the collection since I am a bit picky about what I wear, but here we are! If you’re looking to add a Tory Burch fragrances or two to your collection, read on and find the one that suits you. As a bonus, they also happen to be on sale at Nordstrom ATM!

I’m Weak for Tory Burch RN—17 Dangerously Tempting Items I Just Tried On

    [ad_1]

Welcome to Let’s Get a Room, a series where editor Eliza Huber heads to the dressing room to try on pieces from your favorite retailers, buzzy items, and new collections. Think of this column as a detailed guide to the pieces that are actually worth buying and the ones that, unfortunately, looked better online—no returns necessary.

Tory Burch is at the top of her game, with collection after collection garnering rave reviews from the fashion community at large; an endless array of top influencers, from Emily Ratajkowski to Alix Earle, wearing her designs; and multiple viral items with her name on their labels. In other words, I’m not alone in my admiration for the New York–based designer, which is why her brand was the perfect choice for Let’s Get a Room’s first foray into the luxury space. I couldn’t help myself. After all, given how much time I spend in its multi-floor, home-like Mercer Street boutique for personal reasons (i.e., I can’t stop shopping the brand’s current spring/summer 2023 sale selection), a proper excuse became not just warranted but necessary.

That’s how I ended up taking over two dressing rooms on the third floor of the TB townhouse late one Tuesday night, sipping prosecco and Pellegrino while putting together outfits from the currently-on-display F/W 23 offering as well as holiday-ready dresses, handbags, and shoes. Simply put, I entered into heaven, one where there’s no such thing as too many gold accessories, Tory Burch’s pierced-toe heels aren’t almost sold out, and my entire wardrobe bears her name. Scroll down to see and shop the four head-to-toe Tory Burch looks I played dress-up in.

  • From Celine to Chanel, These 25 Designer Hair Accessories Are Destined for Fame

From Celine to Chanel, These 25 Designer Hair Accessories Are Destined for Fame

    [ad_1]

POV: It’s September 2007, and the premiere of a teen-led television drama chronicling the lives of Manhattan’s elite, Gossip Girl, has just sparked a renewed interest in hair accessories. While it would be fair to argue that fictional Park Avenue princess Blair Waldorf may not have been the sole reason headbands spiked in popularity, her signature hair accessory is by far one of the most recognizable symbols of the series.

By wearing her headbands (of which, she had many), our beloved Queen B might as well have been unofficially sporting a crown while ruling the Upper East Side with an iron fist. Despite my not having experienced the series at its peak (I wasn’t even in middle school when the show first aired), my introduction to the show came with an adoration for its fashion. Suddenly, my closet was flooded with headbands, scarves, clips, and more as my own personal ode to classic prep style.

Kitten heels, embellished ballet flats, knee-high boots, strappy heels, colorful slingbacks—there are truly endless shoe options to invest in right now. Personally, I’m dealing with the overwhelming selection by narrowing it down to only shoes that excite me to my core. As they say, if it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no.

Right now, Mytheresa’s designer-shoe selection is exceptionally top-notch. I found so many pretty pairs of shoes that are straight-up eye candy. My favorites include two different collabs: one between Jimmy Choo and Jean Paul Gaultier and the other between Area and Sergio Rossi. I also handpicked some beautiful styles from Roger Vivier, Tory Burch, Ferragamo, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and more. Scroll down to shop my favorites.

Resisting These 27 Designer Sale Finds Would Be a Bad Idea, Right?

    [ad_1]

I like to think of myself as a strong, level-headed person, but I’ll be the first person to admit that I have one very dangerous weakness: sales. Whether it’s 15% off or 90%, I’m going to scroll and/or sift meticulously through a sale’s contents, and if the options are good, I usually have no problem justifying a purchase (or two). Luckily, it’s a design flaw that’s made me and my closet very happy, which is why I have no plans to change, especially now that I’ve had some time to look through the late-in-the-season designer sales that are happening as we speak.

Matches, Net-a-Porter, Nordstrom, Mytheresa, and more continue to mark down last season’s leftovers, and while you might have to do some digging through them, the gems you can unearth are well worth the work. Trust me—I’ve spent the last six or so hours doing just that. To save you some time and curb my never-quenched thirst for sales, I went ahead and rounded up a few of my best designer finds below. That way, you’ll save time (and money), and I’ll still get to do what I love most.

Don’t Blame Me, Blame Tory Burch—Capri Pants Are Nearing a Serious Comeback

    [ad_1]

If you know me, you’re probably aware of my keen interest in trends that many would consider controversial. There’s the hot pants, of course, and underwear worn with just tights (no pants). I wear more low-rise jeans than high-rise ones these days and were fond of wedges before they came back. Though I often describe my style as classic and minimal, my obsession with out-there pieces and styling techniques would beg to differ. So, it should come as no surprise that a particular item caught my eye at Tory Burch’s spring/summer 2024 runway show earlier this week—an item that, for those who dressed themselves in the early to mid aughts, might bring with it some minor backlash.

The silhouette in question is capri pants, which haven’t been done in the chicest of ways in recent years, but got one hell of a face lift in Burch’s spring collection, which featured tailored versions of the anti-puddle pants three times, paired with blazers and matching lady jackets, not to mention sporty sunglasses, retro pocket books, and toe-ring footwear. Once so uncool, the sight of capris at the show immediately flipped my perception of them on its head, making me want to immediately leave the show and start shopping for pairs to add into my early fall wardrobe.

  • The Newest Dress Trend? Wearing Two At Once

The Newest Dress Trend? Wearing Two At Once

    [ad_1]

Given how popular dresses are and have been throughout history, genuinely new trends don’t come around all that often. Even the really shocking ones, from completely sheer maxis to the tiniest micro-minis, aren’t so much new as just risqué. So when one comes along that isn’t just a recycled fad from a past decade, it’s a big deal, one that I, as a fashion editor that looks at clothes all day long, don’t take lightly.

With that, you can imagine my excitement when Tory Burch‘s spring/summer 2023 runway show took place during NYFW, displaying a handful of looks that didn’t just include one inventive dress, but two, styled together in a completely fresh manner that I couldn’t wait to copy. Specifically, the NY-based designer showcased sculpted, sleeveless minidresses layered on top of longer, slip-like and sometimes sheer dresses (and skirts), adding dimension to the ensemble with little to no effort. In other looks, she layered see-through mesh maxis on top of metallic dresses of the same length, allowing the below pieces to shine from below but in a mellow, muted manner, thanks to the translucent fabric on top. Genius.

Now that the collection is available to shop, many online have gravitated towards the double-dress trend that Burch debuted on the runway, with others on Instagram coming up with even more inventive methods for wearing two dresses at once, adding a voluminous slip dress under a bias-cut one for increased shape or doubling up on clashing-colored dresses to create eye-catching contrasts. Below, see all the ways that fashion’s finest are seeing double in the dress department in 2023.

Hilary Duff Looks Effortlessly Chic in a Semi-Sheer Skirt During a Stroll in NYC

    [ad_1]

Hilary Duff looked effortlessly chic during a stroll through New York City on Aug. 2. Poised to take on the day, Duff posed in front of a brownstone apartment in a see-through organza skirt and matching white top by Tory Burch. Between the design’s delicate fabric and Duff’s elegant accessories, the finished look was what summer dreams are made of.

“Today was lovely and now I get a day to enjoy this glorious nyc weather,” Duff wrote on her Instagram Stories, sharing another glimpse at her ensemble as she attended an event with Olly Wellness. The full outfit, styled by Brit and Kara from Elkin Style, consisted of the double-layer skirt paired with a matching blouse that created the illusion of a sheer midi dress layered over a micro skirt and bandeau top.

At her waist, Duff wore a thin white leather belt, which beautifully complemented her shoulder bag. She completed the outfit with retro white sunglasses, heeled sandals, hoop earrings, and silver jewelry. On her hands, the star broke up the monochrome look with a cherry-red manicure.

The day prior, Duff shared a glimpse at a more casual summer outfit: a Versace bodysuit and denim shorts. The star’s seasonal wardrobe continued to impress as she backflipped off a boat in a strappy red bikini hours later. Earlier this year, Duff showed off even more of her style prowess in a sultry cutout dress by The Attico and a sheer corset dress at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.

Versatile and chic, Duff’s style is a welcome reminder that whether you’re on vacation or out for a neighborhood stroll, what you wear can turn even the most casual summer activity into a fashion moment.

  • My Favorite Ludicrously Capacious Bags

    My Favorite Ludicrously Capacious Bags

    [ad_1]

“Why? Because she’s brought a ludicrously capacious bag. What’s even in there, huh? Flat shoes for the subway? Her lunch pail? I mean, Greg, it’s monstrous. It’s gargantuan. You could take it camping. You could slide it across the floor after a bank job.”

Ah, Cousin Greg. Succession’s ultimate himbo who just can’t seem to dovetail into the corporate conglomerate world no matter how hard he tries. In Season 4’s debut, Cousin Greg (Nicolas Braun) brings a date to Logan Roy’s (Brian Cox) birthday party…big mistake for one half of The Disgusting Brothers.

The issue Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfayden) has with Greg The Egg’s Tinder date, Bridget, isn’t that he’s jealous…it’s that she’s clearly trying too hard to fit in. Tom delivers the most iconic quip about poor Bridget’s Burberry tote that she probably wore because it was the most expensive thing in her closet. However, anyone sickeningly wealthy could tell you she obviously made the wrong choice.

The Burberry Vintage Leather Check Satchel Bag may be valued at around $2,900, but we live in a world of Birkins. While Bridget’s tote may have been the talk of the party if she hung out with me, it was an eyesore amongst the likes of the Roy family. Do you think Gerri would be caught dead with a vintage Burberry as opposed to Gucci’s understated Jackie?

@ikeacanada The OG ludicrously capacious bag. #whatseveninthere#SuccessionHBO#quietluxury#stealthwealth#ludicrouslycapacious#IKEACanada#IKEA#Trend♬ original sound – SSENSE

To the upper echelons of society, there’s no worse crime than sporting a tote bag to a high society function. What could you possibly need in your bag besides your black card and perhaps a mirror? A clutch certainly would’ve been more suitable.

But surely Shiv (Sarah Snook) doesn’t carry a bag so large that it could be used to complete a heist during her father’s birthday (if she were to show up). And would Roman (Kiernan Culkin) or Kendall (Jeremy Strong) be caught dead with such a crass woman?

But let’s be honest here, Tom Wambsgans. There is nothing more satisfying than a Mary Poppins-esque bag. What if my makeup runs midday and I need a touchup? What’s going to hold a towel, a change of clothes, and my water bottle on the beach?

    @chargers a ludicrously capacious bag
    ♬ original sound – SSENSE

Ludicrously capacious bags serve both men and women. My gargantuan bag indeed carries my lunch pail, a sweater in case the office gets cold, flat shoes for the subway, and I’d probably store egregious amounts of cash in it if I had the access.

There’s nothing more satisfying than running errands and having my hands free. If I can make multiple stops only using my gigantic tote bag, then I consider it a success.

And while a tote bag may not be the most functional “going out bag,” it certainly serves its purpose at all other hours of the day. If you’re in the market for the nightmarish, ludicrously capacious bag, here are some of my favorites:

      1. Beis The Work Tote
      2. Marc Jacobs The Tote Bag
      3. Kate Spade Kitt Large Tote
      4. Free People Sid Slouchy Vegan Tote

  • From Tory Burch to Bottega, 8 Must-Visit Stores in Miami’s Design District

From Tory Burch to Bottega, 8 Must-Visit Stores in Miami’s Design District

    [ad_1]

Much like Melrose Place in West Hollywood and SoHo in New York, the Design District in Miami is quickly establishing itself as a global shopping destination for the aesthetically-driven, design-minded, and fashion-obsessive among us. Within the last year alone, Acne Studios, Cult Gaia, and Nodaleto have all opened up their doors in the area alongside established luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci who have called the District home for nearly a decade.

While the shopping is really good, this neighborhood is hardly exclusive to fashion brands. It’s also a hub for art (the Institute for Contemporary Art museum is just steps away from the clothing stores), interior design (Fendi Casa and B&B Italia also call it home), and food (restaurants Contessa, Mandolin and Swan bring crowds of stylish diners).

On a recent trip to Florida’s cultural capital, I decided to acquaint myself with the Design District and I spent an afternoon browsing its best stores both new and old. As someone with a keen appreciation for art and design, I was mesmerized by the store design and architecture of these spaces as much as the clothing and accessories themselves. From Bottega Veneta’s dusty pink spiral staircase to the silver couch inside the Cult Gaia store, the stores I popped into were simply put, an experience.

Ahead, I’m diving into the eight best stores I checked out in Miami’s Design District and highlighting the key buys that wowed me from each of them. Bookmark these names for your next visit if you know what’s good for you.

  • I Spent the Afternoon Shopping in NYC—I Won’t Be Forgetting These 23 Finds

I Spent the Afternoon Shopping in NYC—I Won’t Be Forgetting These 23 Finds

    [ad_1]

If you thought rent prices were a problem in New York City, try being a fashion editor living smack-dab in the center of its biggest shopping hub. It’s torture, especially recently, with so many of the industry’s coolest and most sought-after brands making SoHo their home after living mostly online. (Welcome to the neighborhood, Khaite, Toteme, Alaïa, Simkhai, and Cult Gaia!) Every day when I walk to get a coffee or pick up my prescription at the local CVS, I have to put physical effort into keeping my eyes forward and my attention away from temptation at every turn. But after a few weeks of good behavior, I decided it was time to let myself indulge in the benefits of the place I choose to call home and spend an afternoon doing what I do best: shop.

In addition to roaming around SoHo for a few too many hours during my day of (mostly) window shopping, I also headed up to Midtown to see what was new at Nordstrom, a store I can’t resist stopping into every single time I’m nearby. And while I’d like to say that nothing at all caught my eye along the way, I’d be lying if I did. In reality, I saw too many good things during my afternoon off, all of which I haven’t been able to shake since. Since journaling has always helped me let go of issues I’m thinking a bit too much about, I thought I’d follow the same protocol in this instance by jotting down all of the pieces I witnessed that are currently taking up space in my head below. Fingers crossed that by sharing them with all of you, I might be able to resist the urge to add every last one into my spring wardrobe.

  • This Pretty Trend Was All Over the Fall Runways—29 Items I’m Not Waiting to Shop

This Pretty Trend Was All Over the Fall Runways—29 Items I’m Not Waiting to Shop

    [ad_1]

While the fall collections are usually reserved for thicker, more insulating fabrics like cashmere knits and wooly outerwear, there was one standout theme among the collections this fall/winter 2023 season that went against the grain. Soft, supple, satin proved to have a surprising but significant spot on the runways. The pretty fabric popped up in a myriad ways—from the luxurious satin suits at Fendi to the colorful bright satin separates at Tory Burch—proving that the fabric deserves a spot in our cold-weather wardrobes just as much as it does in our warm-weather ones.

That said, satin clothing is one trend I personally won’t be waiting another six months to wear. With the fall collections fresh in my mind and spring at my doorstep this month, now is the perfect time to get in on the rising pretty theme. Inspired by the runways, I spent the morning shopping for luxe satin pieces to recreate the looks I loved most. Ahead, I’m sharing my satin clothing shopping list that’s as forward feeling as it is “now”.

  • This Controversial Silhouette Is Preparing for a Surprisingly Chic Return

This Controversial Silhouette Is Preparing for a Surprisingly Chic Return

    [ad_1]

During arguably my most questionable style years (aka when I was in high school in the early 2010s), I had a burgundy peplum top that I swear I wore once a week at least. At the time, it was, to me, the perfect shirt, elegant and stylish with just the right level of drama. Even so, when the controversial silhouette was deemed “out” not long after, I shunned it. For years after, whenever I stumbled upon one of the hundreds of digital camera photos I took in it, I shuttered, traumatized by my own style choices.

It wasn’t until a few months ago that the idea of wearing anything peplum-related even entered my mind. Inspired by two things—the U.K.-based brand Liberowe’s velvet, peplum lady jackets and Proenza Schouler’s hourglass-style peplum offerings from fall/winter 2022—I began to question all the undeserved hate I’d thrown at the peplum trend over the last decade. Modernized and stylized, the new-age versions that the aforementioned brands and more are introducing in recent years are more than worth a second thought, and in turn, a second chance.

  • Introducing the Single Most Dominant Color Trend From Fashion Month So Far

Introducing the Single Most Dominant Color Trend From Fashion Month So Far

    [ad_1]

Given the sheer quantity of trends that come out of any given runway season, standout colors can oftentimes fail to garner the attention they deserve, being deprioritized in reports because of barely there miniskirts, motorcycle tropes, and voluminous silhouettes. But not this season. After a ubiquitous presence at New York and London Fashion Week, no one can deny that red—specifically a vibrant, chili-pepper red—is one of if not *the* standout trend of fashion month thus far, surpassing even the most shocking garments that’ve come down the runway.

The list of brands that have included at least one bright-red look is endless, with inclusions ranging from Tory Burch and David Koma to Sandy Liang and Proenza Schouler. And it hasn’t only found a place on the runways. On the streets outside of shows, attendees in both London and New York have styled the shade to their hearts’ content in the form of handbags, hair accessories, eyewear, ready-to-wear, and more. Below, see every way that chili-pepper red has infiltrated fashion month, from the catwalk to the sidewalk.
