    If we rewind just a few years ago, having a dash camera in your vehicle was something you had to save your pennies for. In today’s society finding a dash camera is as easy as a simple online order.

    I am a big fan of drivers who have their own personally owned dash camera in their vehicle.

    On today’s Trooper Steve on Patrol, we’re going to talk about the benefits of having a camera and some insights to the different versions that are out there.

    WATCH LIVE at 9:30 a.m.: Trooper Steve and Jonathan Kegges check out 2024 Hurricane Awareness Tour

    SANFORD, Fla. – Weather and traffic come together today for Trooper Steve on Patrol.

    Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges is bringing me out to Orlando Sanford International Airport for the 2024 Hurricane Awareness Tour.

    NOAA forecasters from the National Hurricane Center and the local forecast office, as well as crew members of the NOAA and USAF aircraft used to research hurricanes, will be available for one-on-one interviews and aircraft tours.

    This is all taking place at the airport from 9 a.m. ’til about 3 p.m.

    Port Orange honors resident for over 40 years of volunteer service

    PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Today’s Trooper Steve on Patrol stream is dedicated to a very special lady.

    Mary Wittmeyer was honored at her Centenarian Celebration and National Women’s Month by the Port Orange Police Department and the City of Port Orange.

    Wittmeyer joined the Port Orange Police Department’s Volunteers In Policing Services back in 1984, when she moved to Port Orange from Buffalo, New York.

    Today, Wittmeyer still volunteers, over 40 years of volunteer service to both the department and her fellow citizens in Port Orange.

    Wittmeyer received proclamations from: U.S. Congressman Cory Mills, Florida State Sen. Tom Wright, Volusia County’s Matt Reinhardt, City of Port Orange Mayor Don Burnette and fellow members of the City Council. Wittmeyer will also receive accommodations from Port Orange police Chief Manuel Marino and Port Orange police VIPS Maj. Ken Nichols.
