  • Tyler, the Creator Performs With A$AP Rocky, Childish Gambino, and Kali Uchis at Coachella 2024

Tyler, the Creator Performs With A$AP Rocky, Childish Gambino, and Kali Uchis at Coachella 2024

    [ad_1]

Tyler, the Creator headlined the Saturday night of the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. He opened with the first song from 2019’s Igor, “Igor’s Theme,” and went on to play tracks from Call Me If You Get Lost (and its 2023 deluxe edition, The Estate Sale), Goblin, Wolf, and more. He even reached back into the Odd Future annals to do some of Bastard’s “Odd Toddlers.” Guests during the set included Childish Gambino (“Running Out of Time”), A$AP Rocky (“Potato Salad” and “Who Dat Boy”), Kali Uchis (“See You Again”), and Charlie Wilson (“Earfquake”). Find Tyler’s performance in the livestream recap video below.

Tyler, the Creator is a bit of a Coachella regular, having performed at the festival in 2011, 2015, and 2018. He’s also made surprise guest appearances during sets from Earl Sweatshirt (in 2013) Schoolboy Q (in 2017), and Kali Uchis (in 2018 and 2023). And, even when not performing at Coachella in 2016, he made headlines for some antics with A$AP Rocky.

Lana Del Rey headlined the first night of Coachella 2024, and Doja Cat closes out the festival’s first weekend on Sunday night.

  • Lana Del Rey Headlines First Night of Coachella 2024

Lana Del Rey Headlines First Night of Coachella 2024

    [ad_1]

Lana Del Rey is the Friday headliner at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. She’s performing at the Indio, California, festival for the first time since her 2014 debut. Watch her performance in the livestream below.

Del Rey attended at least one other Coachella—as an audience member—in 2017, which became the subject of her single “Coachella – Woodstock in My Mind.” The track alludes to Father John Misty’s set that year, which she filmed from the crowd.

Lana Del Rey released her most recent full-length, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, last year. The LP netted her multiple Grammy nominations—for Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album. The single “A&W” also earned a nod for Song of the Year. Despite her multiple nominations, Del Rey has still not been recognized with a Grammy win.

Del Rey has continued to hint at more new music: She teased a song called “Henry, Come On” earlier this year, and she’s promised a new country album titled Lasso. In addition, on Valentine’s Day, the singer-songwriter shared a cover of Irving Berlin’s 1920s classic “Blue Skies.”

  • No Doubt to Reunite for 2024 Coachella Performance

No Doubt to Reunite for 2024 Coachella Performance

    [ad_1]

The lineup for the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is out. Featured prominently on the bill are No Doubt, who are reuniting for a performance at the Indio, California, festival. It is not yet clear which day or days the group will take the stage. See the full Coachella lineup here.

No Doubt, led by singer Gwen Stefani, formed in the mid-to-late 1980s, releasing their self-titled debut in 1992. The group released three more studio albums before going on hiatus around 2004. No Doubt reunited in 2008 and shared another new album, Push and Shove, in 2012. Another hiatus ensued before sporadic reunion performances in 2014 and 2015.

Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat are headlining Coachella in April. Last year’s festival featured a comeback performance from Blink-182.
