Chick-fil-A is offering two new sandwiches, and folks in select North Carolina cities can get a first taste.
The Sweet Chili Lime Crunch sandwich landed on menus this week at participating restaurants in the Piedmont Triad region — including Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point — at as part of a limited-time test, Chick-fil-A said in a news release.
The sandwiches, available until March 7, feature an original chicken filet “topped with a Ginger Lime Cool Crunch — made with cabbage, kale and a ginger lime dressing.” It’s then drizzled with a sweet chili sauce and served on a toasted bun. Customers can opt for a spicy or grilled filet.
Pricing information wasn’t immediately available, but the Sweet Chili Lime Crunch Sandwich with an original breaded filet (entrée only) was listed for $6.19 at the Gate City restaurant in Greensboro, according to the Chick-fil-A app.
Chick-fil-A said it’s also testing an Avocado Sriracha BLT Sandwich exclusively in Oklahoma City.
That one features a chicken filet with lettuce, tomato, avocado mash, bacon and cayenne ranch. Unlike its other chicken sandwiches, the BLT is served on Sriracha Swirled Toast.
The new offerings mark Chick-fil-A’s latest menu innovation. In January, the Atlanta-based chicken chain launched Frosted Sodas and Floats nationwide alongside retro-inspired packaging to commemorate its 80th anniversary.
“We have so much in store this year, delivering menu items and experiences that are fresh and exciting yet firmly rooted in Chick-fil-A’s renowned quality, care, generosity, and hospitality,” said Khalilah Cooper, vice president of brand strategy, advertising & media for Chick-fil-A.
The restaurant hasn’t said if the Sweet Chili Lime and Avocado Sriracha BLT could eventually be offered nationwide.
