Thanksgiving sneaks up every year, even though we all know it’s coming, and suddenly the race for turkeys, hams and pies is on.
For those who’d rather skip the stress of grocery runs, cooking or cleaning, Charlotte restaurants have stepped in to do the work.
This year, several local spots are serving up Thanksgiving dinners in-house or offering takeout meals packed with all the holiday favorites, so you can enjoy the feast without lifting a finger.
Here’s what you need to know.
Where can I eat on Thanksgiving in Charlotte?
Here are some places you can grab a meal in Charlotte on Thanksgiving:
The Thanksgiving menu at Angeline’s, 303 S. Church St., features slow-roasted pumpkin soup, a harvest salad, herb-roasted turkey with gravy and cranberry agrodolce, plus seasonal sides like sweet potatoes topped with toasted marshmallows, pecans and sautéed green beans. The full dinner is $48 per person, and you can add a three-course wine pairing for an extra $25.
Angry Ale’s at 1518 Montford Drive is offering a lively place to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Packers vs. Lions game at 1 p.m. Enjoy $3.50 Miller Lite specials all day, $10 Thanksgiving Leftover Sandwiches served with homemade chips, and $5 Fireball and apple pie shots to toast the holiday.
From 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Church & Union, 127 N. Tryon St., is serving a three-course Thanksgiving prix fixe menu, featuring options like potato‑leek soup or mixed green salad to start, and entrees including seared salmon, New York strip or sweet potato gnocchi. Dinner is priced at $70 for adults and $30 for kids 12 and under.
City Barbecue, with four locations in Charlotte, is offering fresh, ready-to-serve Thanksgiving meals for groups of 4-24, featuring smoked turkey or ham, classic sides, and desserts. Orders are available for pickup from Nov. 19-30.
Open from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Dean’s Italian Steakhouse is offering a chef-curated Thanksgiving feast featuring a la carte seasonal dishes alongside their regular steakhouse fare. Highlights include apple-brined turkey breast and a decadent jumbo lump crab macaroni and cheese. The restaurant is at 128 E. Brooklyn Village Ave. in Charlotte.
La Belle Helène at 300 S. Tryon St., #100, invites guests to start with pumpkin soup or beef tartare, then move on to mains like rotisserie turkey with brioche stuffing, New York strip, vegetarian gnocchi or seared salmon. Dessert options include chai panna cotta or spiced apple cake. The meal costs $75 for adults and $30 for children 12 and under.
With three locations in the Charlotte area, diners can celebrate Thanksgiving at Napa with a three-course feast featuring roasted turkey, or opt for prime rib or salmon. Traditional sides like whipped potatoes and mac and cheese are served family-style, while desserts include pumpkin pie, caramel apple cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake, all for $60 per person.
Open for Thanksgiving from noon to 9 p.m., Steak 48 at 4425 Sharon Road will serve its full menu alongside elevated holiday classics, including turkey with gravy, seared roasted carrots in a maple-brown butter-apple cider reduction, cranberry sauce, stuffing, truffle mashed potatoes, whipped sweet potato praline and pumpkin pie.
