Ravens Release Veteran Running Back, Sign Linebacker

Matt Ryan

The Ravens released veteran running back John Kelly from their practice squad on Tuesday.

Kelly signed with Baltimore during training camp and was called up for the first two games of the season. He didn’t play any offensive snaps but had two kick returns for 46 yards against the Las Vegas Raiders.

In a corresponding move, the Ravens signed linebacker William Kwenkeu to their practice squad. Kwenkeu signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2022 but was released by the team in March.
