Pordalab, a pop-alternative band, has released a new song titled “Wag Mong Isipin,” which features rap vocals from Gazera, a rap-metal band. The song addresses various social issues, and it was written by Karl Ramirez, a songwriter and music producer who is part of Pordalab and is based in Bicol. Ramirez is also involved in the Bicol Pop initiative and performs with Kilyab, a percussion ensemble.

The song “Wag Mong Isipin” was originally composed as a film score for Arlyn Dela Cruz’s movie Bubog in 2017. Ramirez’s work on the score earned him the Best Musical Score award at the 65th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards. Since then, the song has become a popular performance by Pordalab due to its blend of pop, rock, and rap elements.
