Our Visit to Hidden Pasture Farm

From the moment we arrived, there was something exciting around every corner. The farm is full of animals that roam throughout the property, making it feel like you’re exploring a real working farm instead of simply walking through a petting zoo.

One of the biggest highlights for my kids was getting to ride the unicorns. Watching their faces light up as they climbed aboard made the experience feel truly magical. At $7 per ride, it’s totally worth it for the smiles (and the photo ops).

Meet the Animals

As we wandered the farm, we found baby chicks following their momma around, adorable bunnies that visitors could cuddle, and baby goats happily roaming free. The goats quickly became a favorite because they loved walking right up to visitors for attention and snuggles.

Newborn foal

We were also lucky enough to see a newborn foal during our visit, making an already memorable day even more special.

The farm is home to an impressive variety of animals, including chickens, turkeys, pheasants, peafowl, rabbits (Flemish Giant and Holland Lop breeds), sheep, goats (Nubian and Nigerian Dwarf), miniature cattle, miniature horses, ponies, donkeys, and of course, the unicorns. You can buy a bag of animal feed for $3 and your kids will have the best time hand-feeding the goats and other friendly critters.

Plenty of Room to Play

Beyond the animals, Hidden Pasture offers several play areas that kept my kids entertained between activities. The swings, slide, and bounce house were all big favorites and gave them plenty of space to burn off energy.

One thing I especially appreciated as a parent was the shaded seating throughout the farm. It was nice to be able to sit for a few minutes while still keeping an eye on the kids as they explored and played.

Seasonal Events and Festivals

Hidden Pasture hosts seasonal celebrations throughout the year that are incredibly well organized. We attended one of their special events, and it was a huge hit with the kids. There were plenty of fun activities, opportunities to interact with the animals, and space to simply enjoy being outdoors together as a family.

The farm hosts festivals and themed weekends for different seasons, so it’s worth checking their events page or Facebook page before your visit to see what’s coming up. Keep in mind that special event weekends may have slightly different pricing than regular weekends.
