After a pregnancy marked by worrisome complications, 44-year-old media personality and entrepreneur Kourtney Kardashian has reportedly given birth to her fourth child. The baby, a boy that Kardashian and husband Travis Barker have (per ET) named Rocky, is the first for the couple.
Rumors of a blessed event began to fly earlier this week, after Kardashian appeared to check into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Sources told TMZ that the couple hoped to induce labor for a Halloween birth, but it’s unclear if that deadline was met. (Vanity Fair reached out to representatives for the family but has not received a response as of publication.)
“It’s either Halloween,” the 47-year-old Blink-182 drummer recently said of the due date on the One Life One Chance podcast, “or like the first week of November.”
An unnamed source close to the family confirmed that Kourtney has indeed given birth, People reports today. The baby’s full name is Rocky Thirteen Barker, TMZ notes, a name Barker first floated in a July episode of Complex’s GOAT Talks.
“I like Rocky Thirteen,” Barker said. “That’s this name that’s been going through my head lately … Rocky George played guitar for [iconic punk band] Suicidal Tendencies,” and the name also serves as a homage to 1976 motion picture Rocky, “the greatest boxing movie of all time.”
Regarding the proposed middle name, Barker simply said that “13 is just the greatest number of all time.”
Rocky is joining a blended family, including a couple of decades-older siblings. Barker shares two children with ex-wife Shanna Moakler: son London (age 20) and daughter Alabama (17). He’s also stepfather to Atiana De La Hoya (24), Moakler’s daughter with another ex-husband, boxer Oscar De La Hoya. On her side, Kardashian is also mother to daughters Reign Aston (8) and Penelope Scotland (11) and son Mason Dash (13), all from her previous relationship with media personality Scott Disick.
