HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Hillsborough County Public Schools is partnering with Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine to present the 19th-annual Back To School Fair.
It will be held on Saturday, Aug. 1, at Citrus Park Town Center from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The first 1,000 kids in line will receive free backpacks. Organizers are offering entertainment, raffles, games and activities.
About 50 vendors will be there, including kid-focused businesses, nonprofits, schools and activity providers.
“The best part is – it’s indoors,” joked Laura Byrne, editor of Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine. “This is a great way to come, shop for back-to-school, take advantage of Florida’s back-to-school sales tax holiday and meet face-to-face with 50 local businesses and organizations that cater to families just like yours.”
The first day of school in Hillsborough County is Aug. 10.
