Pack those lunches and put on those backpacks, because back-to-school is already upon us.
Tarrant County contains 20 different school districts and not all of them have the same first day of school. However, all of them start at some point next week.
Star-Telegram reporter Lina Ruiz recently talked with Fort Worth ISD students ahead of the first day to see how they’re feeling.
“I feel excited and I feel like I’m going to make a bunch of new friends,” one student told her.
Many of them also said they prepared over the summer for the next grade by keeping up with their reading and attending summer school.
