Clackamas County Sheriff’s
Just before noon on October 18th, a Clackmas County sheriff’s deputy witnessed an assault of one of the jail’s inmates during a routine collection of meal trays.
26-year-old Reece Warren Richeson was given life-saving efforts by the jail medical staff before Clackamas Fire personnel took over. Richeson was then rushed to the hospital, where he died three days later.
His cellmate for more than a week, 23-year-old Sapastian Year, is accused of the assault in the jail cell.
This case is being referred to the Clackamas County District Attorney. Year remains behind bars as he awaits charges.
