CLEVELAND (WJW) — The Cleveland Browns have hired Akron native and former Tennessee Titans Head Coach Mike Vrabel as a coaching and personnel consultant, according to multiple reports including the NFL Network.

Vrabel didn’t land a head coaching job this year after he was fired by the Titans at the end of the 2024 season.

Vrabel won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots as a player and is was named to the Ohio State Football All-Century Team where he played in the mid-90s.

He was also named the AP coach of the year in 2021 after leading the Titans to a 12-5 record.

But, the losses mounted for the Titans the last three seasons, and the team finished last in the AFC South with a (6-11) record last season.

Vrabel is a graduate of Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls.
