AKRON, Ohio — With temperatures expected to climb for the rest of the work week, Akron is extending hours for residents to escape the heat.
Summit Lake Community Center, located at 380 W. Crosier St., on Wednesday, July 15, will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The city’s other community centers will be open during normal business hours.
City officials said they will monitor temperatures and extend hours as necessary.
