At 8 p.m., JazzPop kicks off its 19^th season featuring a cross-generational lineup celebrating West Coast creative jazz. The concert series at the Hammer Museum begins with a performance by Kasey Knudsen Sextet, followed by Malachi Whitson Quarter on Aug. 13 and Machado Mijiga Trip on Aug. 20.

From 4:30 to 7:30, Redondo Beach commemorates the newly remodeled Redondo Beach Historic Library at Veterans Park. The evening invites Angelenos to enjoy the city landmark  and complimentary bites and beverages.

The Sydney, Australia-born EDM heroes make a triumphant return to Los Angeles for another run of summer shows, this time taking their spellbinding set to the Kia Forum.

Ahead of the Aug. 21 premiere of Jason Statham’s newest movie, Mutiny, Westfield Century City challenges visitors to put their grip strength to the test for a chance to win Mutiny giveaways.

Lancôme takes over The Grove’s Glass Box for the month with a pop-up offering complimentary samples, best-seller products for purchase and early-bird giveaways for the first 50 visitors each day of the opening weekend.

Goldenvoice and 88rising put on another year of Head in the Clouds at Brookside at the Bowl featuring headliners KATSEYE, Japanese hip-hop/ R&B outfit XG, South Korean rapper Dabin.kr and more. The Saturday festival rounds out the experience with a K-beauty marketplace by Sephora and tantalizing food and beverage vendors, like Bistro Na’s, Bang Bang Noodles and Kogi.

Street Food Cinema, Radiant J Productions and Focus Features throw the official Wet Hot American Summer 25th Anniversary Reunion at The Autry Museum. Alongside a movie screening, the evening also welcomes writer/director David Wain, Elizabeth Banks, Joe Lo Truglio and Marguerite Moreau and a performance by Wet Hot Jam Band.

At 4 p.m., the Getty continues its August run of concerts for kids with an evening of music by Grammy Award-winning Dan Zanes, jazz vocalist and music therapist Claudia Zanes and gospel singer Tyree Austin.

Forest Lawn hosts its third annual classic cars and coffee celebration featuring free coffee and donuts, a curated selection of classic cars and plenty of fellow car enthusiasts.

Timed to National Spam Musubi Day, Lei’d Cookies joins forces with Romer House Waikīkī on the limited-edition spam musubi cookie (black sesame cookie topped with sticky rice and a tor hed slice of spam) and POG cookie (ropical passion fruit, orange and guava cookie stuffed with guava li hing mui mochi).   

For a more decadent dining experience, Santa Monica’s upscale French brasserie La Monique expands with a new outdoor dining concept, La Petit Monique, alongside other new offerings like a reinvented seasonal menu, live jazz on Wednesdays and a special late-night offering (beginning at 8:30 p.m. nightly, enjoy a Croque Monsieur topped with caviar paired with a martini for $35).  

Nearby, The Georgian offers a specially priced oyster hour menu Wednesday through Sunday, while imbibers can discover new cocktails at its restaurant, Sirena. Also at Sirena, the oceanfront space becomes a Latin cafe on Aug. 7 in celebration of the launch of the new Valoria cold brew.  

In Beverly Hills, Circa 55 Rooftop at The Beverly Hilton has refreshed breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and a new signature cocktail menu, inclusive of The Angeleno, a Manhattan riff with notes of peach and thyme, and Two-Faced, a watermelon-jalapeño cocktail.  Whether in Sherman Oaks or Downtown, stop by Uoichiba to snag a limited-edition Father’s Office burger handroll (wagyu beef, bacon fat-caramelized onions, Gruyère and Maytag blue cheeses and arugula).  

For brunch, you can now add Pawn Shop to the rotation. West Hollywood’s stylish pub just added weekend service from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring menu items like chicken and waffles, avocado and prawn toast and spam fried rice.  

And through Sept. 30, head to the Wet Deck at W Hollywood for a pool day. The hotel has welcomed De Soi for a takeover featuring an Airstream bar and custom-branded pool floats.
