ORLANDO, Fla. — Fans of “Evil Dead” can prepare to journey through the movie series’ iconic moments as a haunted house, as Universal Studios officials announced Tuesday it will join the lineup for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Inspired by the franchise’s sixth film and latest installment, “Evil Dead Burn,” officials said that the haunted house will take guests through the movie’s most frightening moments, that begin at the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods. Blending gore with dark humor, the story centers on the Book of the Dead, an ancient text that unleashes supernatural parasitic demons who possess and twist their victims into Deadites. Guests will have to try to survive their encounters with the Deadites around every turn before they succumb to the evil forces themselves.
Guests can also show off their fandom for this haunted house with new limited release merchandise inspired by Evil Dead Burn. This collection includes a T-shirt and hat, along with its own acrylic figure designed for the Infernal Carnival collectible display. Guests can shop these items at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood beginning Tuesday, July 21 and the next day at 9 a.m. PST on shopUniversal.com, with more merchandise being released later this year, officials said.
