ORLANDO, Fla. — If you’ve never seen a sunset in the South Pacific, an Orlando attraction might provide the next best thing.

Volcano Bay Nights returns to Universal’s water park. Things heat up after regular park hours end, creating a whole new vibe for families and couples.
-
A big draw is the Beach Bash in the wave pool at the base of the huge, illuminated volcano. The limited-capacity event shortens the lines as well.

The evening event includes specially themed food and drink offerings. “Our bread cones are a big buzz right now,” said Chef Ron Cope, Volcano Bay’s culinary director. “One [of the cones] made with our signature shell mac and cheese. My other favorite has sesame seeds on the outside. It still has the white cheddar mac and cheese, but we did a nice little crispy chicken piece.”

Event admission includes a free souvenir Coca-Cola Freestyle cup for unlimited beverage refills all night. Guests also get unlimited complimentary snacks, featuring unique flavors like Garlic Parmesan popcorn and Blue Raspberry churros.
-
The after-hours event is kid-friendly, and a bunch of DreamWorks characters are joining in on the fun. This includes special appearances by the Vikings (like Chief Hiccup and Astrid) from the How to Train Your Dragon universe.

Volcano Bay Nights is taking place on select dates all the way through Aug. 21, 2026.
