The Rocky Mount Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed one man early Monday morning.
At around 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call on Sunset Avenue, and when they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were performed by first responders.
The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
At this time, police do not have any available suspect information, as this shooting remains under investigation.
