Samantha Garcia, 33, was arrested Monday and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the statement.

Police were dispatched to a home in the 700 block of South Hampshire Street at around 9:50 p.m. Friday after a caller reported hearing fireworks in the area.

On the way to the scene, police learned a woman had been shot.

Responding officers found the shooting victim in the driveway of a house on South Hampshire Street, and she was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.

The shooting stemmed from a “domestic-related incident,” police said Tuesday. Garcia’s bond has been set at $750,000 and the investigation is ongoing.
