Cam Jurgens clears concussion protocol, will play vs. Cowboys

Eagles center Cam Jurgens has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and will play against the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon in North Texas.

Jurgens entered the weekend listed as questionable but the Eagles on Saturday announced they removed that status. That means that Jurgens is good to go.

The only Eagles player who was ruled out was Lane Johnson (foot), who is expected to be out 4-6 weeks with a Lisfranc sprain.

The Eagles on Saturday also announced that WR DeVonta Smith is traveling separately from the team for personal reasons but has no game status. That means he is gong to play.

Jurgens returned to action last week after missing two games with a knee injury. But then he had to leave in the second half after suffering that concussion. Jurgens this week was listed only with the concussion and not the knee. Veteran Brett Toth will be available if Jurgens is unable to get through this game.

Meanwhile, veteran Fred Johnson will start in place of the injured Lane Johnson.
