A Pennsylvania man is in critical condition after officials say he fell 50 feet from a scoreboard.

The man was working at Acrisure Stadium, the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, around 10 p.m. Oct. 25 when he fell from the main scoreboard onto a mid-level catwalk area, according to a Facebook post from the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department.

First responders stabilized the man and got him in a Stokes basket, then used a rope system to lower him down to an ambulance.

The man had severe injuries and was taken to a hospital in critical condition, officials said.

A Pittsburgh Steelers spokesperson said the worker was installing production equipment, WTAE reported.

McClatchy News reached out to the Pittsburgh Steelers for more information but did not immediately hear back.
