One person has been rushed to the hospital following a shooting in Beverly, Massachusetts, Saturday night.
Beverly police say they responded to a Simon Street home for a report of shots fired around 7:17 p.m. and found an injured female victim who appeared to have been shot.
The victim, whose name and age have not been released at this time, was initially taken by ambulance before being transported via medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, police said. There was no immediate word on her condition.
Police haven’t announced any arrests but say there is no danger to the public. This is believed to be an isolated incident.
Further information has not been provided, including what led to the shooting. An investigation is active and ongoing by state and local police.
