A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured while tubing behind a boat in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area on Sunday, according to California State Parks. Officials said the boating incident occurred in the lake near Granite Bay around 2:30 p.m.State Parks said the boy sustained major injuries, but he was alert and conscious before he was taken to an area hospital. He was in stable condition as of Sunday night. Officials did not detail the nature of the tubing accident. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the boating incident, State Parks said.
