CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to identify the person who stole a Captain Morgan statue from an Englewood business.

Surveillance video captures the moment in which the pirate statue is being placed at the back of a blue two-door pickup truck.

The video shows that the statue was stolen on May 19 from the back Beach Discount Liquor store located at 1600 S. McCall Rd. The video also shows that the theft had a dog in the front seat as their partner in crime.

CCSO asks the public to help identify “this landlubber” by calling to their non-emergency number (941) 639-2101.
