Zoom introduces ZoomMate to turn workplace conversations into completed work

Zoom has introduced ZoomMate, an agentic AI work surface designed to help organizations move from workplace conversations to execution without losing context along the way.

Built on Zoom’s “system of action” vision, ZoomMate connects live conversational context with agentic search, workflow execution, custom agents, and AI-generated content creation. The platform is designed to help teams work before, during, and after meetings by connecting conversations with the enterprise systems where work gets done.

Before, during, and after the meeting, ZoomMate connects what was decided to what needs to happen next across every system where your work lives.”

Agentic Search

One of ZoomMate’s core capabilities is Agentic Search, which enables users to search across Zoom, the web, and connected enterprise applications to find information related to projects, customer accounts, service tickets, policies, and other business needs.

By connecting with platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Google Workspace, Microsoft services, and other enterprise systems, ZoomMate can surface customer records, knowledge articles, project updates, enterprise files, and open issues alongside context captured from Zoom Meetings, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Chat.

Zoom says search results are grounded in an organization’s connected knowledge while respecting existing enterprise permissions, governance, and access controls. Rather than indexing documents alone, ZoomMate combines files, records, and conversations into a unified search experience.

Orchestrate

The platform’s Orchestrate capability is designed to coordinate follow-through across teams, applications, and enterprise systems.

According to Zoom, ZoomMate can identify next steps from meeting conversations, monitor ongoing projects, schedule events in Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, update records, create follow-up tasks, draft customer communications, and initiate onboarding or support workflows.

By connecting conversational context with enterprise systems, Zoom says ZoomMate helps move discussions into execution without requiring users to manually recreate context across multiple tools.

Complete

Under its Complete capability, ZoomMate uses Zoom’s AI Productivity Suite to turn meetings into finished business deliverables.

The platform can generate presentations, documents, spreadsheets, reports, and project plans using meeting conversations together with enterprise context. As decisions evolve, ZoomMate can also update those deliverables, helping teams keep plans and documents synchronized without manual revisions.

Rather than relying solely on prompts or manually supplied context, Zoom says ZoomMate understands what was discussed during meetings to generate content that reflects the conversation.

Supporting Existing Team Workflows

Zoom says ZoomMate is designed to integrate into existing enterprise workflows across multiple departments.

Knowledge workers can gather information from Google Docs, Jira, Slack, Google Drive, and SharePoint before meetings, schedule follow-up sessions based on participant availability, and retrieve project information from multiple enterprise repositories.

Sales teams can access customer information from Salesforce before calls, update opportunity records afterward, and draft follow-up proposals using meeting transcripts.

For product and engineering teams, ZoomMate can consolidate project documentation, identify open Jira issues, surface relevant collaboration discussions, and convert meeting action items into structured plans and status updates.

HR and operations teams can use connected knowledge bases to answer policy questions, route employee requests to appropriate systems, and automate onboarding workflows when a new hire’s start date is confirmed.

Melody Brue, vice president and principal analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, said the market is moving toward AI platforms that better connect decisions, enterprise data, and workflows.

“The market is moving away from isolated AI helpers and toward tools that can better connect decisions, data, and workflows across an organization,” Brue said. “Many AI offerings operate on the edges of work, with limited access to the real-time context affecting decisions. ZoomMate approaches this differently because it sits inside the conversations where those decisions unfold. This can give it live business context and help make its recommendations more grounded in the work that teams are actually doing.”

Zoom believes the next stage of workplace AI is not simply generating more content or summarizing more meetings, but helping teams complete the work that conversations create.

The company positions conversations as the context layer for modern work because they capture decisions, intent, approvals, objections, and next steps that drive business outcomes. By connecting conversational context with enterprise systems and agentic execution, Zoom says ZoomMate helps organizations move from discussion to completed work without having to rebuild context across disconnected applications.

ZoomMate is now generally available to online and direct customers in North America starting at USD20 per user per month, with AI credits included. Availability for additional industry verticals and regions, including EMEA and APAC, is expected later this year as the rollout continues.
