In this story of determination and love, a woman named Lisa went above and beyond to rescue a stray dog she encountered in a rough area during a downpour. Unable to get the dog on her first attempt, Lisa couldn’t get the frightened animal out of her mind. She returned to the location the next day and began feeding the dog in the same spot, hoping to gain her trust.
Despite a failed attempt with a dog trap, which only scared the dog further, Lisa persisted. She set up a feeding station and visited the location multiple times a day, determined to rescue the dog. The family had a preference for Pit Bulls, which are often the hardest to find homes for. They welcomed Xena into their home, and she quickly became a beloved member of the family.
