Though her sightings have become less frequent, we remain optimistic that with her venturing onto Londolozi every so often, one day she will return and proudly introduce her latest additions to the thriving lineage of leopards to us all.

The Nkoveni Female, amongst providing us with countless sensational sightings, has been a phenomenal mother and her success rate has been particularly high given the predator density in this region of the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve. Her most recent litter is believed to have been born in early March this year and was hidden away in the secret realms of dense thickets and rocky outcrops, catching a glimpse of these cubs was few and far between for our friendly neighbours.
As the cubs reach an age where their diet primarily consists of meat, the Nkoveni Female is certain to lead them to the carcasses she has skillfully captured and concealed. Each morning, our hearts race with anticipation, hoping to encounter fresh tracks delicately etched in the powdery sand, signalling the presence of all three leopards gracefully entering Londolozi.
Seeing the previous Nkoveni Trio always provided sensational sightings and we secretly hope for more of this when her new litter gets a little older.
Armed with patience, knowledge, and unwavering respect for these magnificent creatures, every passing game drive brings us closer to the moment when we will catch our first glimpse of the cubs, their playful antics and endearing vulnerability are a testament to the circle of life in this pristine wilderness.
