What the cast of The Partridge Family is up to now

At eight years old, Bonaduce was already an established child star before The Partridge Family aired – he had a role in the Jerry Van Dyke ’60s sitcom Accidental Family and also appeared on Bewitched!

The actor went on to make guest appearances on TV shows and in films after Partridge Family wrapped, but he did not experience the same success he did on the show.

He would then try his luck in radio, securing a long-time gig as a radio host in Seattle.

Like co-star David Cassidy, Bonaduce struggled with drug addiction and alcoholism – issues he openly discussed in his 2005 reality TV show, Breaking Bonaduce.

Breaking Bonaduce was also where many of his and ex-wife Gretchen Hillmer’s romantic struggles were aired.

The former couple met on a blind date in 1990, and on a whim, they married later that same day – seven hours into their first date.

Bonaduce previously told CNN that Hillmer was a “very religious woman” and said “she takes her vows very seriously. And she said for better or for worse.”

In April 2007, after 16 years of marriage, Hillmer filed for divorce. The former couple share two children together.
