Five-month-old from Ohio, Kason Thomass, has been found alive, according to a Facebook video posted by the child’s paternal grandmother LaFonda Thomas.

LaFonda, who goes by Fonda Thomas on Facebook, began live-streaming under an hour ago. Thomas, along with a group of people in the background, let out loud cheers as they celebrated the infant’s discovery.

Thomas explained that Kason was found abandoned at a parking lot in Indianapolis. She also profusely thanked people online for their help, in particular, people in Ohio and Indiana.

“My baby got ten fingers, he got ten toes. He healthy, he healthy. We going to get him, thank y’all. Thank you, Jesus,” LaFonda said. “They found my baby in Indianapolis. That crazy creep left my baby in a parking lot, but we got him and they got her and that’s all that needs to be said. I love it.”

Columbus Ohio Police also confirmed Kason was found “safe and alive” in a tweet and on Facebook.

“Kason Thomass was found alive & safe in Indianapolis near a Papa John’s pizza location. The 5-month-old boy is in good health & being transported to a hospital to be checked out. Kason was found in the stolen Honda Accord & wearing the same clothes.”

His suspected kidnapper Nalah Jackson is in police custody and being questioned. Police charged Nalah with two counts of kidnapping on Wednesday.  It’s unclear if officials will transport Nalah back to Ohio, if she assisted in locating Kason and whether she’ll be facing additional charges, given that she crossed state lines with the child.

Prior to Kason’s safe discovery, the FBI was offering a $10,000 reward for any information that led to his safe return.

Here’s What Happened In The Kidnapping Of Kason And Kyair Thomass

As previously reported, their mother, Wilhelmina Barnett, was working as a Door Dash driver on Monday night (Dec. 19). When she entered Donatos on East 1st Avenue and North High Street in Columbus to pick up an order, Jackson left the inside of the establishment and stole her running vehicle. Inside the 2010 Honda Accord was Barnett’s twin sons, Kason and Kyair.

Kason will soon reunite with his twin brother, whom Jackson abandoned outside the Dayton International Airport on Tuesday at about 4 a.m. local time. The airport is approximately 70 miles from where Jackson first kidnapped the children.

It’s unclear why Jackson chose to separate the twins or whether the However, Columbus investigators were en route to Indianapolis as of this afternoon. Below, you’ll find a press conference that took place hours before Kason’s safe discovery.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
