Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss have reportedly ended their controversial romance.
Just two months after it was confirmed that they had engaged in a months-long affair behind the back of Sandoval’s then-girlfriend and Raquel’s then-best friend, Ariana Madix, multiple sources have revealed that the Vanderpump Rules stars have split.
“Raquel dipped out. Sandoval is not the one for her,” an insider told Page Six on May 17.
But it was The Messenger that first broke the news.
“[Sandoval’s] relationships with everyone right now are on the back burner, and he’s focusing on his music,” the source told the outlet. “He’s about to turn 40 and trying his best to move away from all of this, but he’s struggling at times. Like anyone trying to better themselves, it’s one day at a time.”
After the news of Sandoval and Raquel’s affair first broke in March, Sandoval and Raquel released statements on their social media pages, expressing their regrets.
“I want to first and foremost apologize to everyone I’ve hurt through this process,” Sandoval said in part, on Instagram. “Most of all, I want to apologize to Ariana. I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly.”
As for Raquel, she also posted a message on Instagram.
“I want to apologize for my actions and my choices foremost to Ariana, and to my friends and the fans so invested in our relationships. There is no excuse, I am not a victim and I must own my actions and I deeply regret hurting Ariana,” Raquel said in her March 8 statement.
“I am reflecting on my choices, speaking to a counselor and I am learning things about myself such as my patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved,” she continued. “I have sought emotional validation through intimate connections that are not healthy without regard for my own well-being, sometimes negatively affecting others and often prioritizing the intimate connection over my friendships. I am taking steps to understand my behavior and make healthier choices.”
A short time later, Ariana released a statement of her own.
“I want to express my most sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support I have received from friends, family, and people I’ve never even met in the last two weeks,” she began. “When I have felt like I couldn’t even stand, you all have given me the strength to continue and seen me through my darkest hours. To say I have been devastated and broken is an understatement. however, I know that i am not in this alone.”
In the months since, as Ariana moved on from her relationship with Sandoval with fitness trainer Daniel Wai, Raquel has been seeking treatment for her mental health.
The three-part Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion begins next Wednesday, May 24, at 9/8c on Bravo.
