Two weeks ago Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion. One of his first actions has been to charge verified users $8 for their blue verification checkmark.
The verification checkmark was previously reserved for journalists, celebrities, official companies, etc. But when Musk decided anyone with $8 could become verified…that’s when all hell broke loose.
