Travis Scott assaults someone, destroys 12K worth of equipment at nightclub

Cops responded to an assault call early Wednesday at Nebula in Midtown, where Scott allegedly got into a verbal-turned-physical altercation with a sound engineer.

The victim did not complain of pain or have any visible injuries at the time of the report

Scott, 30, also allegedly damaged a video screen and speaker before departing the nightclub in an unknown vehicle.

We’ve learned that only a complaint was made and that Scott has not been arrested in connection to the alleged incident.

Scott’s team does damage control:
Scott’s lawyer said in a statement that the incident was being “blown out of proportion.”

“While this is clearly a misunderstanding being blown out of proportion by clickbait and misinformation, we are actively working with the venue and law enforcement to resolve and set the record straight,” Mitchell Schuster said in a statement to Page Six. “We are confident our client will be cleared of any wrongdoing.”

Nebula managing partner Richie Romero also says, “This is blown completely out of proportion. It was a great night.”

Meanwhile, a second source says Scott was angry from the start:
“Travis came in angry and intoxicated and progressively went postal,” says a second source. “His shirt said ‘Back the f–k up.’ It’s like he was poised for battle. It was foreshadowing.”

We’re told Scott was “upset about the sound,” and the incident happened within 10 minutes of Scott’s arrival. “It was fast and furious,” the source says.

A third source explains the sound engineer lowered the volume on the speakers because Scott had it “blasting and distorted.”

“It caused a big commotion between Travis’ security and club security. After that Travis took the phone from one fan who was recording Don Toliver’s performance and threw the phone on the floor.

Scott, who shares two children with ex Kylie Jenner, has been tied up in various legal issues in years past, including pleading guilty to disorderly conduct in February 2018 stemming from an incident at an Arkansas concert the year prior. He was also charged with inciting a riot in May 2017, to which he pleaded not guilty.

His biggest scandal to date, however, was his 2021 Astroworld Festival in Houston in which 10 people died after a stampede broke out that November.
