This Traveling Dog Photographer goes to Iceland — BARKography

It’s no secret that I love dogs, photography, and traveling. So when two of my favorite dog photographers in the world, Craig Turner-Bullock and Charlotte Reeves announce they’re hosting a workshop with Alicja Zmyslowska in Iceland, I apply to see if I can get in.

I was accepted and so was my traveling dog photographer friend Audrey Cox of Sunsets Unleashed.

Audrey and I met in 2016 at another dog photography workshop Barcelona in Spain. We hit it off and over the years have become great friends.

Since then, we traveled together numerous times to photograph dogs in California, Oregon, Washington, New York, and Vancouver British Columbia in Canada.

Our traveling sessions are called “on Tour” so I’m BARKography on Tour and she’s Sunsets Unleashed on Tour. We’ve even traveled to the same locations multiple times and now have repeat clients in Seattle and Vancouver.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This photography job of mine has given me so many unexpected gifts and being about to travel around the world and photograph dogs is a huge one.

Back to our Iceland trip: Audrey decided to fly to Charlotte to visit for a few days and then we flew to Iceland 5 days before the workshop.

We wanted to adjust to the time change and see the country. We of course also scheduled a photo shoot with a local dog trainer Doreen Ebelt who of course I found on Instagram.
