“Tell us about the movie,” said Ferrari.
T.I. shared that he joined with DC Young Fly to make the film.
“What inspired you to do this movie? What made you want to put your own money up since you got big connections in Hollywood?” asked BT.
“We were in a room listening to all these folks who are not from our community tell us why this wouldn’t work in our community. I wanted something that was mine that nobody could pull from under us,” said T.I.
T.I. shared that Da ‘Partments is more risky and more edgy than ATL.
“King, you have been trending. What made you choose to be in this movie?” asked Ferrari.
“Yeah, he kinda called me and said he has a role that I think you’ll enjoy doing,” said King
“Do you ever get tired of being famous?” asked BT.
“Yeah, but it beat the shit out of being poor. I was poor for a little while and I was tired of that too,” said T.I.
What is the movie D ‘Partments about? asked OCT.
“It’s about community, and people in the community. Their ambitions, their thoughts and their struggles,” said T.I.
“Are we getting a last album from you?” asked Ferrari.
“Yeah, I’m working up towards it. I’m working on some music, and it’s expanding beyond the concept of my last album. My last album is called Kill The King. I’ve been making more melodic and Afro Beats and R&B vibes. So I’m making two albums. One would be Kiss The King, and one will be Kill The King,” said T.I.
T.I. talked about his podcast and shared that the lack of profit is why he stopped creating his podcast.
“Would you ever go back to television?” asked OCT.
“I don’t know man. We have a lot of offers on the table. If you were in a marriage where someone beat you and left you for dead, and you got out of that marriage. Would you be in a rush to get back in another marriage?” said T.I.
We always have the debate about trap music. They always said T.I.P, Guwap and Jeezzy. We asked who is the most impactful person in the trap music genre. What’s your opinion on that T.I.P?” asked Ferrari.
“I feel like in life our opinions carry us in and out of conversations. They are our opinions. However, facts will last long as those conversations have gone on. History shows that the word trap and the word music to describe a sound has never been in existence before August 19, 2003, when my second album was released.” said T.I.
