LUSBY, Md. — A Maryland teenager will spend nearly 20 years behind bars for an attempted murder in Lusby last year. The sentence was handed down in a Calvert County courtroom on Monday.
Circuit Court Judge Mark S. Chandlee sentenced 16-year-old Jasier Isai Aparicio to life in prison, with all but 18 years suspended for a June 2025 shooting in the White Sands section of Lusby.
Calvert County Sheriff’s Office investigators determined that Aparicio conspired with two others to rob 24-year-old Alexis Commodore. During the robbery attempt, Aparicio shot Commodore in the back, but she survived.
