Happy Friday, everyone! Not gonna lie, this week felt about a billion years long — and as I’m looking forward to Sea.Hear.Now, I’m ready to listen to a bunch of music. The good news: each week a ton of artists release new music each Friday…so we have a lot to look forward to.
This week, like every week, I made a fresh playlist filled with fresher new tracks for you to show your friends. Now that we’ve all settled in for the fall, there’s nothing better than new music to listen to while you hang out and watch football with you friends and family, or while you’re getting ready to go to brunch with the girls, or really any plans you have.
Every week, I search through every playlist, press release, and email alike to find the best new music released. That way, you don’t have to struggle to find a good playlist when your friends put you on aux duty. And, it won’t be the same old playlist you listen to every weekend…because everything on this one is brand new!
If you’re as excited as I am to hear what we have in store for this weekend’s playlist…let’s get listening!
MEDUZA, HAYLA- “Another World”
HAYLA is quickly emerging as one of the biggest voices in house music right now. With tracks alongside John Summit like “Where You Are” and “Shiver,” and now this collab with MEDUZA, she’s established her vocal prowess and shown the world she’s a force to be reckoned with.
“Another World” has all the makings of the perfect dance track: a great, catchy beat by MEDUZA and a dance-worthy hook and chorus from HAYLA. “Another World” was definitely made to be performed live, for audiences and crowds coming together and having the time of their lives.
Dayglow- “Mindless Creatures”
Dayglow has released his “debut” album, DAYGLOW, and with it comes lead single “Mindless Creatures.” The song itself captures Dayglow as an artist perfectly: with elements of surf rock, indie touches, and captivating choruses. “Mindless Creatures” is saturated in fun, a true sign that Dayglow knows who he is as a singer-songwriter-producer extraordinaire.
The album itself deserves its own listen, but “Mindless Creatures” is a great start for those who want to get to know Dayglow. It’s feel good, introspective, and nostalgic music. A great response to his mega-hits like “Can I Call You Tonight” and “Hot Rod.”
INJI, Nile Rodgers- “SEXY 4EVER”
Breakout star INJI is here to make hit songs that combine pop and dance with her sassy lyricism and hard-hitting vocals. Her real vocal power is like her secret weapon to those who may not know she can belt it out with the best of them. In her new EP, WE GOOD, INJI produces five flawless records that build off her success from TikTok viral hit, “GASLIGHT.”
Not only does “SEXY 4EVER” highlight how important it is to let loose no matter what your age is, icon Nile Rodgers hopped on the track to work with INJI. From current icon Rodgers to budding icon INJI, “SEXY 4EVER” shows INJI is ready to take a step into superstardom.
Tate McRae- “It’s ok I’m ok”
If you were missing old school pop princess vibes, then Tate McRae is here to save you. Think Danity Kane, The Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears…that’s what we’re talking: big dance numbers, Y2K nostalgia, and sexy lyrics. It’s about female empowerment, ear-wormy radio hits that will continue to catapult McRae into the popstar category she so deserves.
Whether it’s her viral live performances, insane dance routines, or pure pop songs, Tate McRae is at the forefront of our minds for a reason. She may have been snubbed by the Grammy’s, but she will get her flowers soon enough. Especially with “It’s ok I’m ok” and it’s already viral accompanying video.
Suki Waterhouse- “Model, Actress, Whatever”
One of my favorite crooning indie artists out there is actually well-known model, actress, whatever Suki Waterhouse. She perfectly embodies the moody, yearning, pining starlet we all need in the music industry. Similar to what Lana Del Rey provides, Suki Waterhouse is equally serving.
In new album, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, her single “Model, Actress, Whatever” is a commentary on her life right now. As a new mother alongside Robert Pattinson, a talented actress, model, and singer, Waterhouse seems to have it all going on. But she warns you to F*** what you heard.
Cloonee, Andruss- “Pegao”
Collaborators Andruss and Cloonee hit the mark with “Pegao,” a high energy, exciting track that stays dynamic throughout its entirety. Rising star Andruss is keeping the momentum strong with another single with the potential to be a major club hit…and of course, Cloonee, with his signature ability to make any track of his an EDM hit.
The pair make sense while working together: with Andruss’ explosive vocals and lyricism, and Cloonee’s solidified approach to making a banger. “Pegao” just continues another big year for both Andruss and Cloonee alike.
JVKE, Nick Jonas- “this is what forever feels like”
The playlist needed an ethereal love song to end it on a strong note. Who better than unlikely pairing, JVKE and Nick Jonas, to deliver just what we needed? A passionate devotion to their loved ones that they want to love them for the rest of their lives.
The production is what launches this song from just another love song to something entirely unique. A strong backing and two voices who perfectly meld together, “this is what forever feels like” transcends you into a different planet…one of love and futuristic vibes.

Hey Hayley, where the hell have you been loca? Paramore has been opening up for Taylor Swift throughout Europe for the Eras Tour, and for the London dates, Swift has added a few friends to the line-up. Suki Waterhouse opened during the fifth night at Wembley Stadium, and Hayley Williams has given her and her fiancé Robert Pattinson a warm welcome. “Did you see Suki earlier? Suki fucking killed it! But I’d like to dedicate this next song to Mr. Waterhouse. He has the skin of a killer, Bella,” exclaimed Williams as they began to play their song“Decode” from Twilight. In case you were wondering how we got here, people used to know Twilight so well— Mr. Waterhouse was Edward Cullen himself. Fast forwarding a few years, Pattinson and Waterhouse have been together since 2018 and have a daughter (not named Renesmee). There is no word yet on if the baby has sparkling skin but she does have a 50/50 chance of it. If not, surely a Swiftie nearby would have plenty of glitter to share.
Breaking news: it’s Friday. So that means we have a whole week’s worth of new music. After Billie Eilish basically broke the internet by announcing a new album this week, everyone’s wondering who else is gearing up to release some future Grammy nominees. My guess? Harry Styles. (Or is that just a wish?)
Either way, we have to focus on the present. While I’m overly ecstatic for it to be the weekend, I’m also equally excited to be listening to all these songs on Spotify. Plus, Coachella starts today, and I know a lot of you are going to need to add some songs to your pregame playlists.
As always, I’ve combed through every New Music Friday playlist, I’ve read all the press releases, and I’ve done my own research. Here are some of the best new songs to listen to that were released today. Let’s get listening!
Sabrina Carpenter- “Espresso”
Sabrina Carpenter is having herself a year. Ahead of her first Coachella performance this weekend, she releases “Espresso”, a fun-loving hit single that makes you want to lose all your worries and just move. Carpenter is having fun with her life, and it reflects her music. Written in Paris, she was in her traveler mindset just appreciating what the world had to offer. One of my favorite releases today, “Espresso” is a certified banger.
Sabrina told Zane Lowe,
“I don’t think I’ve ever gone into writing an upbeat, confident record being like, “I really want to write an upbeat, confident record.” I have to be in that headspace and I have to be in that mood. And this was one of those times in my life where it was just like, I just thought I was the shit in the moment.”
Perrie- “Forget About Us”
Perrie Edwards may not be a familiar name by any means…formerly a leading member of Little Mix, Edwards’ vocal power set her apart from the crowd early on. “Forget About Us” is Perrie’s debut single as a solo artist, a pivotal song that’s both upbeat in melody and melancholic in lyricism.
Written alongside Ed Sheeran, she reminds us in the same track that although relationships don’t always last, they’re still dynamic moments in our lives that shape who we are. Edwards says,
“I look back on past relationships and do think happily about those times. Do I want to be there now? No. It didn’t work out that way and if it was supposed to be it would have happened. Relationships have been a huge part of my life and they’ve made me who I am now. I think it’s a nice sentiment to be honest about and it’s super relatable.”
Peter McPoland- “Speed of the Sound (of you)”
Peter McPoland is a one-of-a-kind talent in the music industry. A special force who can write, produce, and record a record by himself and have it sound flawless, McPoland has an ear for a hit track. As his prowess grows, the songs get better…which is exactly the case with “Speed of the Sound (of you).”
McPoland’s first song of 2024 doesn’t disappoint by any means. It’s a bop that’s worthy of playing over and over. Unique in its own way, Peter McPoland delivers yet another earworm-y song.
Dua Lipa- “Illusion”
I’m getting a bit upset with Dua Lipa for not releasing any sort of ballad and declaring that her album would sound different than the rest…however, I can’t deny that her disco-pop style is great for partying. Although she hasn’t strayed far from her usual style, Lipa shows us she knows what it takes for a chart-topping record…and she’s sticking with what works.
“Illusion” is every bit the 80’s workout sound you know and love.
Future, Metro Boomin- “We Still Don’t Trust You”
Metro Boomin is the Jack Antonoff of rap, if that makes sense. A highly regarded producer and creator who can work with the best-of-the best and create a Grammy-nominated album every single time. Every time you hear that iconic “Metro Boomin want some more” intro, you know you’re getting a banger.
“We Still Don’t Trust You” is an absolute vibe. A song I could see myself driving on the highway to at midnight, it’s more beat-heavy than about lyricism. Plus, a few melodies from The Weeknd make this even more of a brooding, moody tune that just works.
Maggie Rogers- “The Kill”
Maggie Rogers has gone for the kill with her new album, Don’t Forget Me. A songwriter to her core, Maggie Rogers is highly regarded as one of the best indie alt stars of our generation. This album deserves its own separate article, but “The Kill” is one of her best submissions.
About a relationship that has gone sour, Maggie Rogers reflects on how things used to be good…but now they’re just going for the kill.
Chlöe- “Boy Bye”
Chlöe delivers an electric breakup anthem with “Boy Bye.” I immediately added this to my playlist because the song encapsulates being so done with a partner, needing to leave them because they don’t treat you right. She bids her boy bye with this upbeat R&B track, telling him to go back to his mother because she won’t even cry.
It makes me even more excited for her debut album, In Pieces. The world is in desperate need of an R&B diva who isn’t afraid to tell it like it is…and I think we’ve found her.
Suki Waterhouse- “Fun”
New mother, Suki Waterhouse, is wasting no time getting back to her music. In “My Fun”, she yearns for a partner who loves her like she loves having her fun. A folksy rock track that is reminiscent of classic greats like The Beatles, “My Fun” is the perfect ending to this playlist.
Fun loving, scream worthy, “My Fun” is an easy listen. Suki Waterhouse makes no mistakes with her music.
Suki Waterhouse and her baby bump just made their debut at the 2024 Emmys red carpet in a stunning backless Valentino couture gown.
If 2023 was the year of the girl—complete with frills, bows, and an ode to innocence—2024 seems to be the year of the mom. The Emmys red carpet marks one of the first occasions Waterhouse has stepped out after announcing her pregnancy with fiancé Robert Pattinson.
Waterhouse, who announced her pregnancy on stage at a concert, is attending the award show in support of her Daisy Jones and the Six castmates who are up for awards tonight. Camila Morrone, also dressed in red, is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie while titular star Riley Keough is up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
Suki Waterhouse likely has access to any designer shoes she wants, but the fact that she recently opted for a pair of $115 shoes instead makes me think that they must be quite special. With the blazer and black maxi skirt she wore recently, Waterhouse opted to finish her look off with one of the biggest flat shoe trends of the year: Mary Janes.
There are so many Mary Janes on the market to choose from, but not all are created equal. That said, Waterhouse and Amazon shoppers seem to agree that Franco Sarto made an excellent pair, as they have nearly a five-star rating. The Franco Sarto shoes in question are the faux patent leather (another major trend) Tinsley Mary Jane flats, and she went with the black pair.
A little birdie told me that the shoes keep selling out, and I believe them because there’s currently only one color left in stock on Nordstrom (where the reviews are also glowing). The good news is that I found stock on Amazon (where they’re even on sale in certain colors) and elsewhere, so scroll on to order a pair if you’re so inclined. Studies show that they’ll sell out again.
All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, StyleCaster may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.
Suki Waterhouse has no problem dressing for the occasion. Back when she was promoting her Amazon Prime show, Daisy Jones & The Six, she was often spotted channeling ’70s bohemian style, just like her on-screen character. Now that the model-slash-actress is pregnant, expecting her first baby with Robert Pattinson, she’s fully embraced cool yet comfy looks. While that sometimes means rocking a flowy dress over a form-fitting one on the red carpet, she recently opted for Mary Janes instead of heels — and her playful shoes caught our eye.
Arguably one of the most timeless shoe styles in existence, Mary Janes are set to be a top trend for 2024. Waterhouse proved that her own Franco Sarto pair is extremely versatile, using them to complete a sleek outfit consisting of a cutout crop top (which showcased her stomach), a blazer, and a midi skirt. Alternatively, this footwear choice can be laid-back, much like ballet flats and loafers. We’ve seen Mary Janes styled with jeans and stretchy cotton pants, and Waterhouse even gave her Franco Sarto shoes a casual spin with a pair of white socks.
Plus, while stars like Hailey Bieber and Olivia Rodrigo have worn similar styles with price tags that are close to $1,000, Waterhouse’s Mary Janes are a bit more budget-friendly. Her Franco Sarto shoes cost just $115 and also come in seven different colorways, so you can essentially trade the black pair for a blue or red one, or buy multiples for your collection.

You won’t regret buying these Franco Sarto Mary Janes for yourself. While the trend popped up everywhere in 2023, the shoe is sticking around next year, too, and was seen all over the Spring 2024 runway, styled with dresses, skirts, and more casual outfits.

This raspberry alternative is selling out quickly and for good reason. It’s a subtle way to add a splash of color to any outfit thanks to the darker, almost-neutral shade.

Dare to be a little different with the navy blue option
. We can picture these babies styled with brown plaid pieces — very Taylor Swift meets Gossip Girl.

‘Tis the season for all things sparkly and shiny. If the mere thought of slipping into heels makes you cringe, this pair will still feel fancy enough to rock with sequins and all your festive holiday outfits.
Suki Waterhouse paid homage to the night sky during the 2023 Elle Style Awards in London on Sept. 5. Dressed for the occasion, Waterhouse arrived in a Fendi evening gown adorned with a web of black beads and silver crystals. The elegant design featured a sheer bodice and a floor-length skirt that seemed to levitate behind her effortlessly as she strutted into the event.
The dress, which made its debut in the designer’s fall/winter 2023 couture show, boasted a sheer, long-sleeved bodice and mock turtleneck studded in hundreds of miniature crystals. Below the bust, the top seemed to transform into a second design: an opaque, off-the-shoulder blouse with wrap detailing. The bodice continued down into a black bodysuit layered with a see-through skirt that almost completely covered Waterhouse’s strappy, heeled sandals. Already fully frosted, she kept her accessories simple, opting only for a diamond ring on her right pointer finger.
At first glance, Waterhouse’s dress is a sophisticated take on the no-pants trend made popular by celebrities such as Kendall Jenner and Sydney Sweeney. Up close, the design was an intricate tapestry of beading and crystalwork that created the illusion of a night sky. While Waterhouse didn’t have to go to outer space to secure her outfit for the evening, she certainly served a look that was out of this world.
In addition to this radiant dress, Waterhouse recently stepped out in a purple Sommer bikini during a resort getaway in Austria. A few months earlier, she wore a completely sheer dress adorned with floral appliqués while attending the Met Gala with boyfriend Robert Pattinson.
Ahead, take a closer look at Waterhouse’s gorgeous Fendi evening gown from all angles.
Taylor Swift gushed over Suki Waterhouse, calling the Daisy Jones & the Six actress the wildest person she knows. Swift even went on to laud Suki Waterhouse as a musician and said her music is raw and extremely passionate. Meet Taylor Swift’s closest friend, Suki Waterhouse. Here’s everything you need to know about her.
Who is Suki Waterhouse?
Suki Waterhouse is the eldest of four siblings, born in Hammersmith, London. Madeleine and Imogen, like their sister, work in the artistic area, as Madeleine is a model and photographer and Imogen is a model and actress.
Who is Suki Waterhouse dating?
Suki Waterhouse is no stranger to dating A-list celebs, but her current relationship with Robert Pattinson is possibly the most talked-about. The couple was initially reported to be dating in 2018, having an on-again, off-again relationship over the years. Though the couple is somewhat discreet about their relationship, they appear to be in a good place right now.
Her participation in Daisy Jones & The Six as a musician may not be as strange as you believe. Waterhouse has been interested in music since she was a child. According to an interview with US Weekly, the model’s first instrument was the trombone. Waterhouse released her first single, Brutally, in 2016, and her debut album, I Can’t Let Go, was released in April 2022.
Suki Waterhouse learned to play piano for an audition
Suki Waterhouse revealed in an interview with US Weekly that her audition for Daisy Jones & The Six was one of her most difficult. One of the main reasons was that she had to provide a tape of herself playing the piano, which she had never done before. Waterhouse prepared by purchasing a piano and learning to play as rapidly as she could.
Suki Waterhouse is a Karate champion
Don’t be fooled by her kind manner; Waterhouse knows how to throw a punch. In a 2016 interview with Marie Claire, the actress discussed learning karate as a child and participating in martial arts training while filming the film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
About Taylor Swift and Suki Waterhouse’s bond
In a new profile about Daisy Jones & the Six’s music, Taylor Swift only had positive things to say about Suki Waterhouse. Swift didn’t hold back when she was asked to describe her gal pal, offering a slew of reasons why it’s good to call her a friend.
The Blank Space singer spoke to Ssense about her as a musician and she revealed, “Suki always seemed to step out of a time machine, because that’s how she moves through the world, her music is so raw and hopelessly romantic.” Swift continued, “When we hang out, I often leave wondering how someone can be simultaneously spontaneous and free and also preternaturally wise. She is the strangest person I know, and I would trust her with any secret.”
If that wasn’t enough of a compliment, the 33-year-old also provided evidence that Suki is possibly the chillest member of her star-studded crew. She said, “You’ll be stressed about something trivial and she’ll look at you with a cigarette in hand, and say, ‘Babe, you know none of this actually matters.’ And she’ll be completely correct.”
Suki Waterhouse has been a Swiftie since the two first became friends years ago. Not only has she and boyfriend Robert Pattinson gone on double dates with Taylor, but the actress is well-versed in all of the singer’s musical eras. The actress revealed to E! News her favorite Taylor Swift songs, “Right now, I’m really in a ‘Karma’ moment, Blank Space is a fantastic song. I was actually looking at her talking about it the other day, and it was amusing because she said it started as a joke song about what someone would write about her perception, or whatever. And then that became such a tremendous, beautiful song.”
Meanwhile, Warehouse further added, with a humorous sigh, that she loves everything on 2020’s Folklore and Evermore, and added, “I’m a real Swiftie.”
Taylor Swift is currently busy with her Eras Tour. She is about to finish her US leg of the tour and next year she’ll be starting the International leg of the tour. Swift is also busy with re-recording her previous six albums. Until now, the Bejeweled singer has re-released three of her previous albums i.e. Red, Fearless, and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).
Many of the weeds, including discussions of Daisy’s billing with the Six, have been removed in the TV adaptation. In the book, she officially joins the Six after performing an acoustic set of her songs with Eddie before a live audience, including a Rolling Stone reporter. That journalist, Jonah Berg, will later write a cover story with the headline, “The Six That Should Be Seven,” and insist that she “belonged in the band” (more on that storyline in episode six). But the series has Daisy’s admittance into the band sealed with Camila’s permission, telling her at a party that the band is “a family—we’ll take care of you if you take care of us.”
Track 5: Fire
How Karen and Graham Get Together
Lacey Terrell/Prime Video
In the show’s fourth episode, Graham makes the secret crush he’s long been harboring for Karen known by kissing her at a party. While she initially laughs off his advance, in the fifth episode Karen grows jealous of Graham’s romance with a Barry Manilow-loving woman named Caroline (Olivia Rose Keegan) and is awakened to her true feelings for him. Karen makes the first move in the novel, asking Graham on the phone one night: “How come you’ve never made a move on me?” He says, “I don’t take shots I know I’ll miss.” She replies, “I don’t think you’ll miss, Dunne.”
Track 6: Whatever Gets You Thru the Night
The Role of That Rolling Stone Reporter
The book version of Rolling Stone’s Jonah Berg (played in the series by Nick Pupo) takes an interest in covering the band much earlier, writing an article that plays a key part in making Daisy and the Six one musical entity. In the series, Jonah is called in to write a puff piece about the group by producer Teddy Wright. The focus of his piece, however, becomes simmering tensions within the band and between Daisy and Billy. Eventually, Billy spills details about Daisy’s addiction to avoid the publication revealing how his own rehab stint prevented him from being present at his first daughter’s birth, a story Daisy tells the reporter herself. Similar events take place in the book, but occur much later in a second Berg piece tied to Aurora’s release.
The Songs, They Are A-Changin’
Much of the sixth episode is devoted to the creation of Aurora, Daisy Jones and the Six’s album. With the exception of “Please,” most of the fictional songs proposed for Aurora in the book have been scrapped or significantly altered. “Impossible Woman,” Billy’s impassioned plea to Daisy about her sobriety, becomes “More Fun to Miss;” “The Canyon,” Graham’s lost ode to Karen, doesn’t factor into the series. The lyrics to “Regret Me” are also different, although the song remains.
Mick Riva Is Missing
There is a Taylor Jenkins Reid universe, wherein the author includes nods to fictional characters from her previous novels in each new work. In Daisy, Mick Riva, a fictional singer first introduced in The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, attends Daisy’s wild party at Chateau Marmont, which she throws instead of attending the Six’s recording session. Shortly after Mick shows up, an extremely intoxicated Daisy takes a dip in the pool with all of her clothes on and later cuts her bare foot on glass. This scene is recreated in the series, but Mick is nowhere to be seen.
Billy and Daisy’s First Kiss
A major point of contention—and inspiration for Daisy’s scorched-earth song “Regret Me”—is a kiss (or lack thereof) with Billy. In the book, the pair’s lips barely graze during a songwriting session before Billy shuts Daisy down. The series has them actually pull the trigger and passionately kiss during a contentious recording session for “More Fun to Miss,” Billy’s blistering song about Daisy. In fact, everything about the increasingly charged Daisy-Billy-Camila love triangle is far more pronounced on screen than in the book. Billy says in the novel that “there was this unspoken thing between Camila and I,” adding, “in some marriages you don’t need to say everything that you feel.” But Camila more pointedly tells Billy at episode’s end: “If you love her, if you ever do, that is when this ends.”
Camila and Eddie
However subtle, there is reference to potential infidelity on Camila’s part in the book, when she has a long lunch with her high school prom date. “She was gone four hours,” Billy recalls in the novel. “No one eats lunch for four hours.” But in the show, it’s bass player Eddie with whom Camila shares a few stolen moments. “There’s a moment where Camila talks about going out and seeing an old friend. And you don’t know exactly what that means because the book is told in the style of an oral history, you don’t ever know exactly what happened,” showrunner Will Grahamtold Vanity Fair. “So in the show we had to find answers to those things that felt satisfying and real, but also hopefully are surprises and fun for the fans.”
Track 7: She’s Gone
imone’s Queer Identity
As already established, Simone plays a much larger role in the series than the book. This includes examination of her sexuality in episode 7, which shows Simone’s musical career taking off in New York City clubs—and the ways her romance with Bernice could complicate her career. “In the first conversation I had with Taylor, I said, ‘What would you want to see more of in the show that you didn’t get to do in the book?’ And she said more of Simone,” Graham, who directed episode 7, told Vanity Fair. At the end of the episode, Daisy even uses Simone’s identity against her in a particularly heated moment, asking, “Are you in love with me? Is that what this is?”
“I have nepo baby energy,” admits a candid Suki Waterhouse on a recent episode of EmRata’s High Low podcast where she was a guest. The comment was remarkably self-aware. The model-turned-singer-songwriter-actor is a combination of multi-hyphenates that’s better described, as we do these days, simply as “cool girl”. And cool-girl energy is what Waterhouse has in spades.
Flying relatively under the radar in recent years, Waterhouse is one who possesses the effortless glam that so much of Hollywood is after—yet she seems to have it naturally. Maybe you know Waterhouse for her music—she released her debut album I Can’t Let Go last spring and TikTok has made her song Good Looking go viral—the fact that she’s dating the internet’s favorite moody heartthrob Robert Pattinson, or the fact that she’s starring in this spring’s most highly-anticipated TV series, Hulu’s Daisy Jones and the Six.
The fluidity with which Waterhouse has been able to move from creative career to creative career seems like the kind of path that’s only available to those who’s parents or family members provided a plethora of industry connections. And yet Waterhouse, a West London native was scouted at age 16 and worked her way into the spotlight via her modeling work and the connections she made along the way.
Regardless of how you came to know Waterhouse, though, there’s no denying that she’s in her moment. She’s always had that cool-girl vibe with model-off-duty style and a perfectly-messy coif of French-girl fringe to go with. But with the arrival of Daisy Jones has come a flood of new red carpet and street style ensembles from the star, with each look being even more major than the last. It has us certain that Waterhouse is the next style icon of our generation—and with so much of Hollywood paring things back with their tailored minimalism, the arrival of Waterhouse and her ’70s-era fringe and plethora of glamorous sequined, sheer, and high-octane ensembles, it’s a total breath of fresh air.
Below, dive into 11 of the looks that are defining Suki Waterhouse’s major style right now.
If anyone can pull off the tights-as-pants look that’s been popping up everywhere in 2023, it’s Suki Waterhouse—and she knows it. I presume that’s why she decided to make the trend even more risqué than going pantsless naturally is by trading in the minimal briefs that’ve gone hand in hand with the trend ever since it first went viral following Bottega Veneta’s spring/summer ’23 runway show last September for a denim version. Might I add that she donned the micro jorts to do press on the top of the Empire State Building (casual).
The New York City occasion was all about Waterhouse’s new Prime Video show Daisy Jones & The Six, which she stars in alongside Riley Keough, Camila Morrone, and Sam Claflin. Waterhouse plays keyboardist Karen Sirko in the series, so naturally, she had to look the part of a musician in the ’70s but with a modern touch. As such, she chose the first look from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s fall/winter 2022 collection—a cropped blazer, exposed bra, silk blouse, and denim hot shorts—adding ripped tights, Gucci pumps, and an oversize furry jacket for effect.
Though the denim underwear in her look isn’t for the faint of heart, the overall ensemble is easier to achieve than it might initially appear. Below, shop our favorite denim short shorts of the season and check off the first step in recreating Waterhouse’s hyper cool take on the no-pants trend.
I’m at that point in life where I’m re-watching my favorite comfort shows for the zillionth time because nothing else is on. All of the shows I watch aren’t currently airing, and quite frankly, I’m bored. I can essentially quote New Girl word-for-word now because of this agonizing lull.
And while Zooey Deschanel is never the wrong choice, I’m already counting down the days until I have something new to watch. There are plenty of good shows in existence, but when it takes Euphoria three years to create a new season…times get tough.
Luckily enough for me – and the rest of the world – there have been a few recent announcements that have restored my faith in the streaming service gods. The TV networks have seen me re-watch Ted Lasso for the umpteenth time and decided it’s finally time to give me a new season. We can collectively release a sigh of relief.
HBO Max, Apple TV+, Netflix, and more have been slowly announcing their upcoming shows for spring 2023 and I’m finally feeling better. I can feel myself being released from the grip of excessive reality television as we speak. I’ve even been watching countless re-runs of Degrassi (which is Drake at his best, by the way).
If you’re feeling a little uninspired, underwhelmed, and burnt out from browsing Hulu’s main page for a show to stick out – same. But there’s hope on the horizon. Here are the best shows to stream this spring across all platforms:
Ted Lasso – Apple TV+, March 15
With 40 Emmy nominations and 11 wins, the accolades speak for themselves. Ted Lasso follows Jason Sudeikis as the title character throughout his time coaching AFC Richmond soccer as an American football coach. With lovable characters like Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) and Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), it’s hard not to become obsessed with the show.
Everyone loves a good underdog story, and this one is no exception. This season’s dilemma? How will Coach Nate coaching Rupert’s team affect AFC Richmond’s future?
Succession – HBO Max, March 26
Another huge contender at the Emmy’s: HBO Max’s Succession. It’s a drama series reminiscent of the Murdaugh family, with Logan Roy (Brian Cox) heading the media conglomerate Waystar Royco. Although his retirement is ever-looming, his children Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin), and Shiv (Sarah Snook) are constantly competing for a spot at the head of the table.
Viewers go insane for the relationship between Cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun) and Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen), but season four is going to be explosive considering all of the children are in their “Reputation Era” of sorts.
Quarterback – Netflix
Announcing Quarterback, a docu-series following the 2022 NFL season through the eyes of @KirkCousins8 , Marcus Mariota, and MVP and Super Bowl champ @PatrickMahomes!
Unprecedented access and for the first time ever players are mic’d up for every game! Premieres this summer. pic.twitter.com/VKC39Vy5fi — Netflix (@netflix) February 22, 2023
Netflix just announced they’re releasing Quarterback, which follows three QBs in the NFL during the 2022 season. Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs), Marcus Mariota (Atlanta Falcons), and Kirk Cousins (Minnesota Vikings) were mic’d up each game and are now giving fans the most intimate look into the season.
Since there are a little under 200 days until we see the next snap of a football, Quarterback will be a great placeholder. Fans of the game will have a chance to see some of the league’s most exciting quarterbacks in action like they’ve never seen before.
It feels like Penn Badgley becomes the most viral person on the internet whenever a new season of You premieres. The newest installment of the Netflix series has been divided in two parts. The first is out now, and the next comes out March 9.
We are finally seeing Joe get a taste of his own medicine. In a Knives Out-style who-dunnit, Joe is surrounded by a group of rich elite in England and someone is out to get him. With rising stars like Lukas Gage (Euphoria, White Lotus), I’m anticipating big things from part two.
Brace yourselves. Soon everyone will be back trying to mold themselves into a John B derivative. Outer Banks is back for another season of rewriting The Goonies and us eating it up. Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Rudy Pankow, Drew Starkey, Madison Bailey, and Jonathon Daviss will take up our social media from here on out.
Netflix knows they have a grip on the TikTok community with this show, so I can only imagine there will be lots of thirst-trap-worthy clips, a run-in with the police and the Kooks, and a plethora of bandanas tied around the neck. The Outer Banks, paradise on Earth.
Daisy Jones & The Six – Amazon Prime Video, March 3
If you know me, you know I’ve been anticipating this show for almost a year now. One of my favorite books of all time by Taylor Jenkins Reid has been turned into an Amazon Prime miniseries. If you’re a fan of Fleetwood Mac and 70’s rock and roll, this show will give you your fix.
With a star-studded cast featuring Riley Keough (Elvis’ granddaughter), Suki Waterhouse, Sam Claflin, and Camila Morrone, I expect nothing less than excellence. Keough and Claflin play TJR’s version of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, as the show follows the tumultuously talented band looking back on their prime years.
Despite Robert Pattinson’s big screen career and Suki Waterhouse’s supermodel status, we don’t know much about their relationship. Both of these Brits prefer to keep their private life out of the public sphere. As their romance continues past the three-year mark, here’s a rundown of their secretive story.
July 2018
Pattinson and Waterhouse are first linked on July 30 when E!obtains photos of the pair kissing in the streets of London. Per the outlet’s report, the two saw a 9 p.m. showing of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again at Electric Cinema in Notting Hill. They then walked across the street for drinks at SoHo House until 1 a.m.
An eyewitness said the couple was open with their affection. “Along the way, they were very close and cuddled and kissed many times,”the source told E! News. “Robert was very affectionate to her and had his arm around her the whole way and Suki reciprocated by holding his hand and kissing it. They were very loved up and close. Robert stroked Suki’s hair and gave her another loving kiss.”
August 2018
Although neither Pattinson nor Waterhouse confirms the relationship, a source tells Us Weeklythat the pair has been dating for months. The insider said the actors had “known each other and been around each other for a long time.” Other commonalities include “a love of music” and that they “are both really cool, nice and normal people and fun-loving.”
Both parties also have experience with keeping relationships with high-profile people low-key. Pattinson called off his engagement to FKA Twigs in late 2017. Previously, he dated Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart. Waterhouse’s dating history includes a two-year relationship with Bradley Cooper and dates with James Marsden.

An E! source says the pair is only “casually dating.” Since Pattinson had only recently ended a three-year relationship, “He isn’t looking for anything serious right now.”
The insider did express that the two “are definitely into each other” and are dating while Pattinson is in London filming The King. “Rob likes to have fun when he has breaks in-between filming and him and Suki have a great time together,” the source added.

At the end of the month, a Daily Mailreport claimed that the couple had split.
September 2018
LaineyGossip disputed the Daily Mail story, sharing that Pattinson had FaceTimed Waterhouse walking home from a London pub in August.Perthis outlet’s report, the couple were spotted at Miguel’s concert in Los Angeles.
Each also attended the Toronto International Film Festival for their respective projects this month. Pattinson was promoting High Life while Waterhouse walked the carpet for Assassination Nation.

October 2018
This month, the couple is photographed exiting London club Chiltern Firehouse at 2:15 a.m, seemingly confirming they were still together.
December 2018
Daily Mailcaptured the couple leaving a Christmas party on London’s Regent Street. Waterhouse and Pattinson stayed at the party, which guest list allegedly included Bradley Cooper until the early morning hours.
January 2019
Waterhouse and Pattinson spent her 27th birthday together, photographed leaving her party. A couple weeks later, the couple was caught by Peopleholding hands after a run in London.
April 2019
Some fan accounts spot the couple out and about in New York in February and March. But in April, Pattinson makes his first public comments about his relationship with Waterhouse.
The Sunday Timesasks Pattinson in an interview about Waterhouse, which he responds to by asking, “do I have to [talk about her]?” Then he goes into more detail about why he’s so private about his personal life:
“If you let people in, it devalues what love is. If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you’d think it extremely rude. If you put up a wall it ends up better. I can’t understand how someone can walk down the street holding hands, and it’s the same as when I do it and a hundred people are taking your photo. The line between when you’re performing and when you’re not will eventually get washed away and you’ll go completely mad.”
However, he did tell the outlet that breakups with Stewart and FKA Twigs didn’t disillusion him to romance with a celebrity such as Waterhouse. “They were pretty long relationships, not like three months.”
May 2019
When it came time for Pattinson’s 33rd birthday, he and Waterhouse were photographed at Chateau Marmont. Pattinson’s friend Tom Sturridge was also in attendance for the celebrations, per People.

June 2019
Waterhouse and Pattinson went on a double date with another notoriously private couple, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn. They chose Hollywood’sSan Vicente Bungalows, per Us Weekly. It’s a members-only club where photos aren’t allowed, so no one could photograph the dinner. But an onlooker told Us that both couples “were laughing and talking” throughout the evening. “They were at a table, just the four of them. Rob and Taylor were across from each other.”

One way this busy couple keeps in contact? FaceTime. During a June interview with Grazia, the reporter notes Waterhouse FaceTimes Pattinson during a photo shoot break.
An Us Weeklysource reported that Waterhouse said, “I have to FaceTime my boyfriend” while backstage at the Moschino 2020 Resort Womenswear/Spring Menswear show. The onlooker said when Pattinson answered he asked, “Where are you, babe?” Waterhouse then showed Pattinson her outfit while “they were both laughing.” Per the insider, the couple “seemed very happy and in love” and that “both seem very into each other.”
August 2019
E! publishes a picture of Pattinson and Waterhouse strolling through London, something the outlet claims this couple does often in the area. Although they’ve kept it very quiet, this couple’s one-year relationship speaks volumes.
September 2019
In early September, photographer Sofia Malamute shares a photo of the couple cuddled together, captioned, “Ibiza, 2019.” Considering Waterhouse follows Malamute’s Instagram account, the picture was likely posted with her permission.
January 2020
After several months of quiet, Waterhouse and Pattinson confirm their relationship is still going strong. The pair is seen leaving Waterhouse’s 27th birthday party in London on January 12, per LaineyGossip. According to the photo agency, the couple has been snapped by paparazzi nearly every month since news they were dating became public. They celebrate her birthday at London’s Casa Cruz with an event attended by Liv Tyler, Georgia May Jagger, Cara Delevingne, and Ashley Benson. (Delevingne and Benson reportedly end things in April 2020.)
The couple also sparks engagement rumors at the start of the year, per the Daily Mail. While attending a Dior dinner party in Paris, Waterhouse can be seen wearing a ring on her left finger. However, neither confirms the news and she doesn’t make a habit of rewearing the jewelry.

May 2020
Pattinson essentially confirms that he’s quarantining with Waterhouse during an interview for GQ‘s June cover. According to the article, Pattinson has been sequestered “with his girlfriend” in the London apartment “the Batman folks rented for him” while production on the film is paused. That reporting is line with the DailyMail, which spots the couple leaving a grocery store in Notting Hill around mid-April. One item the couple carries in the photo-op? Kellogg’s corn flakes, one of the ingredients Pattinson uses for a…unique pasta dish he makes during an interview for the GQ profile.
July 2020
The couple confirms they’re still going strong, two years into their relationship, with a pair of public outings. On July 21, Pattinson and Waterhouse are photographed walking arm-in-arm around London’s Notting Hill. (You can see the rare photo here.) A source speaks to E! about the sighting, telling the outlet, “They weren’t recognized by anyone and they seemed to be in their own little world as they took a long stroll around the village chatting intently, pointing at properties and laughing together before they arrived at the club. They held hands the whole time or were linking arms and looked very happy.”
The following day, Peoplepublishes another photo of the couple on a walk. An insider tells the outlet, “They are very loved-up,” adding, “They haven’t been together that long. But everything seems on the fast track. They are always laughing and smiling at each other.”
September 2020
The pair’s most PDA-filled photo yet arrives about 12 days after Pattinson was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19, per CBS News. Although the studio never confirmed that report, production on The Batmanwas “temporarily paused.” It resumed in September, days after Pattinson and Waterhouse’s outing. In the photo, the couple sit on a London park bench with coffees, kissing while masks are pulled down to their chins.
October 2020
Pattinson’s recovery apparently only strengthened his relationship. A source tells E! that “Rob and Suki have definitely discussed getting engaged but are in no rush. Suki is not pressuring him and they are both very committed to each other.” The insider confirms the couple’s romance is “stronger than ever” after quarantine. “They love being low-key together and have very similar interests,” the source adds. “They are truly inseparable and in love.” The close pal even says Waterhouse has earned the seal of approval from Pattinson’s family. “[They] thinks they are a great match, better than any of his previous relationships,” per the source.
November 2020
Shortly after E! reported the two had discussed getting engaged, Pattinson and Waterhouse were photographed out with Pattinson’s parents in London. The two walked side-by-side behind Pattinson’s mom and dad on November 23. They opted not show any PDA in front of them or the photographers who captured this outing.
April 2021
After months out of the limelight, Waterhouse made headlines when she posted a selfie on herself on April 15. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that a photo of her kissing Pattinson was visible in the background.

On April 19, Pattinson and Waterhouse were photographed out in London for the first time in 2021. The two held hands while walking in Notting Hill. Both dressed casually, wearing shorts and hoodies. It served as a rare public signal that a year into quarantine, the couple’s relationship remained strong.
July 2021
Waterhouse called out the HBO Max Gossip Girl reboot for making a joke at her expense. The joke in question: Teen public relations whiz Luna (Zión Moreno) is trying to talk Zoya (Whitney Peak) into stepping up her influencer game. She says, “When are you going to get it? As far as the press is concerned, he’s R-Patz and you’re Suki Nobody.”
In a now-deleted series of tweets, Waterhouse responded with the following: “Another day to be reminded that women can also be the patriarchy. Seeing critiques of patriarchy and sexism, then I get name-checked as somebody’s ‘nobody’ girlfriend,” per Glamour.
Some fans compared Waterhouse’s response to Taylor Swift’s tweet about Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia’s joke about her.
“Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY,” she wrote. “Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesn’t look cute on you Happy Women’s History Month I guess.”

A source gave E! a rare and brief update on how Waterhouse and Pattinson are doing three years into dating. They’re still together and doing great, naturally.
“They are very solid in their relationship,” the source said. During the rare public appearances they do together, they’re “always just totally joined at the hip. You can tell he’s completely in love with her,” the source said.
December 2021
Ahead of the holidays, Waterhouse and Pattinson were photographed on December 8 holding hands in New York City on a winter day date. Pattinson wore a monochrome blue look consisting of a hooded puffer jacket with matching blue pants. Waterhouse chose earth tones, stepping out in a brown Carhartt hat, rose-colored wool coat, and a black Dior cashmere shawl. It was their first time being photographed out together in months.
February 2022
Pattinson opened up a little about his life with Waterhouse in two interviews during his The Batman press tour.
To GQ, he spoke about her impact on his decision-making—and how she trolled him by talking with a repairman at their place about DC Comics.
Pattinson said Waterhouse was the reason why he changed the location for his GQ interview from the London Zoo to Holland Park. “I was talking to my girlfriend last night and she was, like, ‘You know, people don’t really like zoos.…’” he said. “I’d been thinking about a metaphorical thing. But then I was thinking that’s very wrong, a sad bear walking in circles. I just can’t help it. I’ll do it for every single element, every decision, in my life. What is the worst-case scenario for this decision?”
And with the repairman for their place’s boiler, “The guy came around the other day, and he just randomly started talking about what a DC [Comics] fan he is. And I’m sitting there facing the other direction, and my girlfriend just keeps continuing the conversation with him. And I’m looking at her like: Shut the fuck up!” He laughed. “Why are you doing this to me? She was very entertaining. Just talking to an obsessive fan.”
Pattinson later talked on Jimmy Kimmel Live! about Waterhouse’s emotional reaction watching The Batman, and how it made him more terrified of its release.“It was really her reaction that kind of changed the entire thing because I’m pretty sure she’s not normally into watching superhero movies,” he said, via Entertainment Tonight. “And just seeing that it was capturing her attention the entire time and then she held my hand and touched it [to her face] and I could feel a little tear. And I was like, ‘No way!’”

In all my time on BookTok, there have only been a few novels that actually earned the hype. The algorithm crams book after book down your throat but then, surprisingly, you find one that’s well worth the wait. In this instance, I’m talking about Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
I read this a few years ago and forced everyone in my immediate circle to do the same the second I turned the last page. From start to finish, it’s flawless. It’s a fictionalized epic based on the notorious drama behind Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. It’s as if you interviewed the tumultuous, mystical band and they left nothing on the table.
The book follows Daisy Jones, a mesmerizing artiste who was clearly born to be a star. It leads us through the 60’s along her inevitable rise to fame. Daisy had the looks, the voice, and the attitude — sleeping with rockstars and dabbling with drugs. At the same time, the band The Six led by the angsty Billy Dunne are taking off. When an eagle-eyed producer matches Daisy with The Six, the world is forever changed.
Amazon Prime
Cue the drama. The merger of Daisy Jones + The Six goes on to impact the music industry as their internal drama becomes public. The tale twists and turns until one final concert at Chicago’s Soldier Field signals the end of their time together.
Now, years later, a rising journalist gets the chance to hear their sides of the story. It’s equal parts sex, drugs, and rock and roll.
The story is so addictive it can’t be missed. So if you’re not a reader, you’re in luck. The upcoming TV adaption debuts on March 3, 2023 on Amazon Prime. The 10 episode miniseries is already garnering buzz with a promising cast.
Riley Keough, daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley and granddaughter of Elvis, will play the lead Daisy and Sam Claflin (Me Before You) will play Billy. Other notable names are Suki Waterhouse and Camila Morrone, who you may also know as Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend.
I can already feel a 70’s-style resurgence on the horizon. This is Gen-Z’s Almost Famous, without a doubt. The way the TikTok community will never be the same after this miniseries premiers. I don’t even know if SHEIN has enough bell bottoms in stock for the trend-hungry consumers.
Sometimes, you can sniff a trend from a mile away. Call me crazy, but I just know we are all going to obsess over the It Girls from Daisy Jones — just like we did with Euphoria. Get your record players out, here are the top trends Daisy Jones & The Six will reignite:
A Curtain Bang Resurgence
No one did curtain bangs and blowouts quite like the women of the 70’s. Whip out those Revlon blow dry brushes (or Dyson Air Wraps for the blessed) and cut your front pieces. We are aiming for bombshell hair and wispy bangs.
Remember, blow dry the top parts and front pieces of your hair away from your face to get the utmost volume.
The Bell Bottom
Honestly, I live for bell bottom jeans. While the baggy jean look has reigned for months, sometimes I like a little shape in my jeans. I’m not talking about anything crazy like skinny jeans, but a fitted thigh is all I need.
I guarantee you that every cast member of this show will at one point rock a pair…and I equally promise that every store will be pushing the 70’s favorite jeans by April.
Band Tees
I can totally see a revival of retro band tees coming back into Urban Outfitters. The oversized vintage-style tee is all the rage, so slap on a picture of the Rolling Stones logo and you’re in business.
Nothing says “I’m with the band” quite like a vintage-inspired tee. This one from Urban is exactly what I’m talking about.
Amazon Prime
Record Players
Remember that era in 2014 when everyone went out and bought a Crosley record player with Tumblr-recommended aesthetic records like The Neighbourhood and The 1975? I just have the weirdest inkling that we are on the cusp of roaming around record stores yet again.
There’s no shame, my dining room wall is covered in vintage records I bought on a discount at my local record store. Bring on all the vinyl for me.
Fur Vests
Anything fur-lined really. A fur vest is the ultimate accessory for your weekend outfit. Seriously, I act differently when I wear a fur vest. Add a pair of sunnies and you’re a rockstar with other places to be.
My personal rec is this Free People fur vest that’s perfect for literally any occasion.
