Do you ever find yourself spending way, way too long looking at different color options for lipsticks and glosses — reading reviews, looking at user-submitted pictures, etc. — especially when you definitely do NOT need more lip gloss?

    Just me? OK then.

Anyway: a few weeks ago I somehow got sucked into the Amazon page for this Butter Gloss from NYX. I think it was perhaps suggested from something else I bought? People LOVED this gloss, and for under $7, I was definitely down to try it! Which color, though?

People seemed to really like the consistency and moisturizing power of the product, and a LOT of people said great things about the basic, clear gloss. So I considered that as a top layer for some of my more drying, stay-put formulas.

But one color kept coming up in the reviews, over and over: Tiramisu. Amazon described this as a “brown,” and I normally pass those up — I spent way too much time in the 90s wearing browns that did not suit me at all. But in every reviewer-submitted photo, it looked like a beautiful pinkish mauve.

As I often do, I put it in my cart but waited to pull the trigger — the next time I ordered from Amazon, I decided no, I really did NOT need a new lip gloss, so I moved it to the “Save for Later” section, where it sat for weeks and weeks.

Cut to yesterday, when I was trying to get my cart to $35 to get an ASAP delivery on something, and I decided, HEY, this lip gloss is the perfect price to add. So I did, and it arrived super quickly, along with the thing I actually needed.

Looooong story short, the NYX butter gloss really does live up to the hype — and the Tiramisu color is perfect. On me it’s a pale pink, not quite as dark as the swatch shown here but definitely in the same family — no brown detected.

(Some of the pictures on Amazon, like the collage of three women wearing the product, look way more rosy saturated PINK than how it looks on me — and I have very pale skin, with relatively pale lips, so I feel like the base color of lipstick shines through a lot more than it might on other people with darker lips.)

The end result is a shiny gloss, but not one that’s overly sticky — I wouldn’t be worried about wearing it with long hair on a windy day. It feels moisturizing, not drying… and I already think it’s going to be one of my favorite colors.

You can find the NYX Butter Gloss for around $6 at Amazon, Ulta (buy 2 get 1 free), and Target. (The product has 106,000+ good reviews at Amazon, 7000+ good reviews at Ulta, and 5600+ good reviews at Target.)

Psst: these are some of our favorite MLBB tints (“my lips but better”) — a super easy office makeup look! Also check out this $20 option from Amazon; it’s a great Dior Addict Lip Glow dupe. Another recent favorite: this super affordable NYX gloss.

Eight franchise teams will be challenged to fight for victory and vie for spots in the upcoming MSC 2024, the biggest MLBB mid-season cup yet to be hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“MPL Philippines Season 13 will serve as the arena for the Philippine teams to once again prove their dominance in the world of MLBB esports. This season, we are challenged to recognize what winning is truly all about and uncover the various versions of victory for each member of the MLBB community,” says Bai Zhou Ning, MOONTON Games Philippines Esports head.

The league will implement a new point system as follows:

During the playoff season, the league will implement the Gauntlet Format to further level up the competition. The rules are as follows:

Meanwhile, the league will launch various online and on-ground activities for this season, including WINSTREAK, a thematic five-part video series that aims to share MPL-PH-approved tips and tricks for casual MLBB players to achieve their victories in-game. The league will also announce the Super Star Match for the upcoming MPL week every Wednesday.

To express gratitude to its viewers, MPL Philippines will present in-game codes on the screen multiple times during the Super Star Match for fans to redeem and get hero skins and other in-game items.

This season, Smart Communications, Inc. continues its partnership with MPL Philippines as the league’s official telco partner. On the other hand, Infinix has signed a long-term deal with MPL-PH covering four consecutive seasons starting season 13. The league will carry the Infinix GT10 Pro as the official tournament phone for Season 13.

    Revamped MDL-PH arena, bigger challenges

MDL Philippines, the country’s proving ground for amateur MLBB esports athletes will begin its third season on 12 March 2024. All Regular Season matches start from 3 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Wednesday, and will run until 25 April 2024.

Ten participating teams will be dared to showcase how they level up their strength in-game and compete to take home the biggest share of the prize pool worth 20,000 USD.

This season’s participating teams are Blacklist Academy Rough Era (BLRW), ECHO Proud (ECHO), RSG El Ganador (RELG), AP.Bren Xia (APBX), ONIC Arsenals (ONIC), Smart Omega Neos (OMGN), TNC Z4 (TNZ4), Minana Archives (MNNA), GameLab x Desolators (GLAD), and RRQ Kaito (RRQ).

Among the major upgrades that fans will witness is the implementation of the Global Ban System.

The Global Ban System allows the team to use a particular hero only once during the series. This means that the hero, once used by a player in the team, cannot be used again in the same series by the same team. However, the opposing team can still choose to pick and use that hero, provided they haven’t used it.

Moreover, the league will hold its Playoffs Season offline, for the first time, to bring the tournament to the big stage.

MLBB Continental Championships (MCC) returns for Season 3, Team Spirit joins with Ex-Deus Vult Roster

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Continental Championships (MCC) returns for Season 3 with a new contender for the crown. MOONTON Games and FISSURE announced that Season 3 of the MCC will begin on March 30, with Team Spirit joining in the competition. Living up to their reputation as the largest and most decorated esports organization in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) region, Team Spirit also confirmed that they had signed Deus Vult’s roster, who clinched the MCC Season 2 championship title and a record top-four finish at the M5 World Championship.

Team Spirit enters the Season 3 fray

Known as the underdogs of the M5 World Championship, Deus Vult catapulted to international success and won the hearts of many fans with the charismatic “Kid Bomba.” Their efforts caught the attention of Team Spirit, who has signed the following line-up:

    • Stanislav “SAWO” Reshnyak
    • Anton “HIKO” Pak
    • Kemiran “Sunset Lover” Kochkarov
    • Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos

Adalyat Mamedov, Esports and Commercial lead, EECA, MOONTON Games, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Team Spirit into the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang arena. As one of the world’s esports juggernauts, we expect them to raise the league’s competitive quality and entertainment value to the next level. Coupled with their world-beating talent equipped with teen spirit, they are set for an impactful first season.”

Nikita Cheshire Chukalin, the CEO of Team Spirit, said: “Team Spirit is an international esports organization that has proven to be among the world’s best. Victories at The International, Riyadh Masters, and IEM Katowice are worthy results, but we don’t intend to stop. Therefore, the Team Spirit family is getting bigger and the organization is spreading to new disciplines. This year, we decided to pay close attention to mobile gaming. Throughout the organization’s existence, our strategy has been to recruit young talented players and help them find their way to the top tier. This time is not an exception: we believe that this Mobile Legends: Bang Bang roster will rise above the competition and quickly become part of Team Spirit’s DNA.”

Nikita added: “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is another new discipline for us. We are happy to join the circuit, in which I hope we can be a serious contender despite the formidable competition. We believe in the guys and know what they are capable of. At the same time, we will do everything in our power to make them feel comfortable both during training and playing at major competitions. So that the only thing they are focused on will be their performance.”
