Ever since Lindsay Lohan announced her pregnancy in March 2023, fans have been anticipating her latest project, a baby boy with husband Bader Shammas. No one is more excited about this than Sara Adam Slywka, cofounder of Nestig, which recently collaborated on a line of ocean-themed nursery accessories with the actress.

Slywka tells me, “Lindsay is such an icon, and designing this collection with her was an absolute dream! I just had my first child a few months ago so as we met to begin the design process it was really sweet to be in such a similar mindset as a new mom and soon-to-be new mom. She knew exactly the feeling she wanted to create in her nursery and it was a joy to work with our design team to bring her vision to life in such a dreamy and delightful way.”

The Nestig Aesthetic

With a warm yet modern approach to nursery design, Nestig is best known for its mid century modern style cribs. Slywka tells me, “We talk a lot about everyday magic and that’s definitely our ultimate aesthetic goal. We design furniture and decor for design-minded parents, so everything is very fresh, modern and functional, but we never want to sacrifice that element of childlike wonder.”

Featuring rugs, a mobile, and crib sheets among other things, the partnership with Lohan is a fun extension of the line. “I think that’s exactly what we captured in this collection with Lindsay—it feels like her own clean, peaceful decor style but with a playfulness that immediately makes you smile,” says Slywka. “The collection not only a true expression of her style, but each item is handmade with the highest quality and attention to detail—the perfect addition to any nursery!”

Lohan also really enjoyed creating these charming accessories. She reveals, “I wanted everything to be calming, but also playful, really tapping into childlike wonder.”

A Perfectly Coordinated Collection

Every piece coordinates together making it easy for parents to decorate the entire nursery in one fell swoop.

One of the most giftable items in the line is the Aviator Mobile. Featuring a plush airplane, cloud, and sun—it is made by artisans in Brazil and is handcrafted from wood, felt, and wool.

The Aviator Rug complements the mobile perfectly. Colored with non-toxic dyes and organic cotton, it’s easy for babies to tottle on safely. Better yet, it’s machine-washable. Most parents will appreciate this extra level of durability.
